It really is a magical experience, when you are on the first row and he stands right in front of you and looks down at you and those surrounding you the music really connects whit you. I was at Dimash’s concert in NY, he was incredible! Sounded exactly like he does. I cried it was too good! But when he stops singing, he’s the most sweet and awkward bean. Always thanking everyone who comes on stage with him and being a sweet pea when he goes backstage nervously saying: I’ll be back! Hold on! It really felt like watching a small town concert because he was so familiar with the fans and the fans also were all nice with each other

Despite being an internationally famous star he is still studying and has already graduated with two degrees, one in classical music and vocals, one in contemporary pop and jazz and a Broadway musical Masterclass, and is at present soon to finish his masters degree in composition as soon as he can get to university in Los Angeles to finish the course. He will then go on to do his PhD. He is a phenomenon, a complete talent. His performances are always perfectly executed.

Hi Zara. Great reaction to Dimash! Gakku is a concert venue. There were multiple people who sang that night. Dimash really shows off his range here, hitting a C#8 to D8 with vibrato, but what I find even more amazing, is that he did this while he was still sick. Most singers would have cancelled their appearance or concert, but not Dimash. He's truly a performance beast! I think singers, male or female, who could hit even close to the high whistle he hit, would be done after that, but Dimash just continues to sing. Gakkú (The Swan) is the name of a heartbreaking Kazakh aria from the opera “Kyz Zhibek” (1934), a romantic tragedy set in 16th century Kazakstan. The opera was written by Yevgeny Brusilovsky specifically for Kulyash Zhasynkyzy Baiseitova (1912-1957), nee Gulbakhram Beisov. She is universally cited as the greatest Kazakh opera singer ever. When she sang Gakkú at the Moscow premier, the audience burst into tears. She said she lost a year of her life every time she performed it. Kulyash died of a heart attack in a Moscow hotel on June 6, 1957. All of Kazakstan mourned. The National Opera and Ballet Theater of Kazakstan in Astana and a music school for gifted children in Almaty are named for her. Gakkú TV is the music video channel in Kazakstan. They sponsored the Gakkú Dausy (Kasakh: Voice of the Swan) Festival Concert from 2014-2018 in the country’s capital city of Almaty. On September 16, 2017, Dinmukhamad (“Dimash”) was the headliner, appearing before 150,000 adoring music fans seen in this video.
