I've listened to this SOS song by dimash I would say now 100 + times and I don't know.... it always seems or feels just like it's my first time hearing him sing. . I don't know what to do

some say he sounded like a violin while some people say dimash sounded like a flute and now he sounded like a piano. dimash is the only singer in this earth who has complete musical intruments built in his lungs!

He's blowing the minds of all the vocal coaches - everywhere. His mother is an opera singer and Father is a musician. Dimash is classically trained and is training to this day. He has an 8-octave range hitting notes that are off the scale.

His style is crossover...neoclassical or popera. Dimash is 24 years old and is from Kazakhstan. In this video he was performing in Singer 2017, a tv show in China for professional singers. He was invited as a wild card, and was the first person to sing on the show ( since he was competing against established, very popular Chinese and Asian singers and was not expected to do well). He gained instant popularity in China with this song and has over 6 million followers in China, plus many fans in other countries. He speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, but sings in many different languages, composes music, and is a multi instrumentalist. Very talented but humble guy. Love him!

His transitions between chest, head and falsetto are seamless. No breaks. What impresses me more than anything is the depth and richness of his chest voice. To have such beauty at the far reaches of his incredible range seems to defy physics.

You only scratched the surface and it's no joke, he has a 6 octave range up to a D8 whistle, he's classically trained since age 5 having developed a unique style mixing pop with opera, traditional singing styles and even rap. Great reaction - hope you will continue.

Hi. Dimash is professional singer/performer. He educated as such. So i guess he had training in classical as well as pop singing. Plus if im correct he was high soprano in choir and after vocal break kept his soprano register and worked on it and still do. Nice reaction. Thanks.

You have seen like 10% of what he can actually do. And it was almost 2 years ago, he improved since this one ! So, this performance was in a chinese TV show "The Singer", it's a contest between professional singers, already known, he was the only one unknown (he's from Kazakhstan, and he was 22 at this time) he became a big star in China with this show. The people you see in the room are his contestants. There is 13 performances of him in this show, every perf' is really good. ^^ Yes he has classical training but he likes to mix the styles. He began singing and piano lessons at 5. Ha has absolute hearing, and vocal cords longer than normal (it makes some things easier for what I understood, but I don't know exactly what or why...), his parents are singers too... Oh by the way, the part you played again, it's in mix voice, he has a big range, he can go lower and higher in every register... I hope you will do other videos on him, there is a lot of choices. E6 at the top in the middle section, D6 at the top at the end. The part you replayed at the end where he ascends from B2 to B4 (big chest mix, lowered larynx) then goes to the pretty part you like but in a stronger mix is E5 & F#5. It's funny how a few of you reactors act so amazed and say you don't know how he hits that note then hit it rather easily yourselves. I guess the really impressive thing is how he hits the same note (F#5) in three different tones, hooty round opera style, staccato falsetto, and pharyngeal mix voice. That with everything else he does, all live and pretty flawless in this performance.

Singing high is one thing. But most scariest thing is his control of his pace and volume. His timing of changing rhythm is perfect. Dimash mixed opera with pop when he sing this song. 😂 (as you can see why some of his fans called him alien from different orbit. Cause he’s too perfect, too ingenious.)
