Yes it's all Geoff (pronounced as Jeff Castaloochi) and he can sing the high parts too. It;s his silky smooth tone that impresses most people. And the fact that you can hear every word. Geoff learned to extend his bass by using the growl technique originially but now can go very in low in chest voice. And even lower using subharmonics. He does videos on how to sing low, or very low. Maybe take a look at those..:)

This man has a phenomenal voice. When I first heard him sing as a baritone I didn't realise it was the same man. His tone though still warm, was lighter and for me... (from England) he seemed to have a lighter accent than the rest of his group.. (Voiceplay a capella). I've bdeen hooked on him and Voiceplay since.. There are a lot of videos, mostly theatrical as they all love to put heart, soul and everything else they have into each production.. Subscribing in the hope you are too curious not to check them all out. 🤔☺️

Geoff not only hits insanely low notes but his timbre is just gorgeous. Definitely check out 16 Tons-and he’s going to drop a new cover of Bill Withers’ Ain’t No Sunshine tomorrow. There are quite a few excellent low basses on KZfaq at the moment. Tomi P just released a cover of Avi Kaplan songs with Efe Sayin-it’s pure bassy goodness. And of course there’s Avi himself-used to sing with Pentatonix, now has a solo career. Peter Barber is an operatic bass but has some really sweet bass covers of a bunch of songs. He, Tomi P, Bobby Bass and Marwan Ayman are part of a group called The Bass Gang. And then there’s the Wellermen’s version of Misty Mountains-they recruited a whole BUNCH of basses to rattle the rafters in that one. Colm McGuiness…. You won’t have any problem finding music to check out.

I second the suggestion that you might want to watch his tutorials on singing low. A couple of years ago, in his role as the bass in the vocal group Voiceplay, it was kind of a major thing for him to reach an E1, and then it took him a while to be able to do it consistently enough for him to sing it live, and now you will hear him reach B0. He is very serious about constant practice in order to expand that lower range while still retaining his high notes.

My favorite thing in the world is watching someone react to Geoff Castellucci for the first time. The reactor (you this time) hears his first low note, says Wow, that's really low, or some variation. I laugh every time, because I know what's coming! Great reaction, thanx so much for giving him a listen. He has a new piece coming today, I'd love for you to check it out. He is the bass singer for an acapella group, Voiceplay. They are unbelievably talented, I recommend that you hear them as well. Maybe start with Hoist the Colours, from the Pirates of the Caribbean 3.

Geoff is a rare talent. His range is just sick. His G1 low notes are the bomb and he uses different techniques - chest, harmonic, growl etc. There are lots of great bass singers but Geoff is the king in my book.

As a veteran, 6:13 to 6:20 spoke to me most in this song. It is the warrior's parting words to "hearth and hall," the familiar places which we inhabit on a daily basis. This is the warrior's march to unknown, deadly places. The harmony here nearly caused me to break down.

Geoff's low notes in this one were in his chest voice because he is a freak of nature, but he often utilizes a technique called subharmonics to get really low. I would recommend checking out that technique if you want to extend your low range a bit more. I can normally sing comfortably down to a D2 in my chest voice, but I can comfortable sing a g1 like he did in this song utilizing subharmonics. He has a tutorial on his page and there are many more on youtube

Up until I saw Geoff Ihad played with vocal fry, but only really sang in chest. B1 was my normal lowest, but sometimes if I sang firstin the morning I mightget to a G#. He has a video on his channel talking about how hehits low notes. Between him, David Larson, TomiP and afew others, after listening to how they do it. You can activate your false folds to vibrate at half of your normal vocal cords, andvocal fry is definitely the way I activate mine. I can now hit and E1-F1 now, I'm working towards a C1 or B0... I think I have room for the B0, just training oneself. You should def check out Geoff's channel.

Please adjust your camera placement so that your face won't be covered up unnecessarily by the video you're reacting to. Experiment with were to set up your camera so you have more free space in which to place the video. In fact, you can actually edit your video so that it is smaller and sits in one corner or edge of the larger video you are reacting to. Visuals are also important, not just the audio.

Seriously the man has a 5 octave range!! Need to check out Oogie Boogie of course but also his covers of 16 Tons, The Headless Horseman, Big Bad John, and Blackbird.
