I'm 100% with you. The musical knowledge to create an arrangement - sing all four parts and provide a visual experience that evokes the emotion behind the poem itself - He's my favorite entertainer these days too. I read "The Hobbit" and this arrangement of this song resembles where my imagination took me as a child - long before this song was ever written

@@JustMe-vk4fn I used to sing in harmony with my sister when younger. Also in choirs later so had an interest in this type of singing. I did use to watch PTX and liked them, never really watched Home Free, but then I saw VoicePlay singing Tennesee Whisky, and those guys stole my heart. Musically speaking. And then Geoff. Oh my. He makes an old lady very happy :)

Geoff is a god, blessed with the voice of an angel and a demon, he has such a high range, i safely recommend voiceplay - Oogie Boogie song , he is the main singer there and it really demonstrates his 5 octace range

Last note was another G1 that to some included a growl (as a nod to Tim Foust) or was a breathy chest note (another bass believed that's what it was. Geoff did a great arrangement.

Last note is an hommage to Tim Foust , sung in the firebreathing style he has developed . He is getting better n better , now this is his best to me . We'll see and listen...

@@lordqwertythepyromancer3458 Isn’t it? I was hoping they’d take Deejay on too, but I saw somewhere he may be going back to “Hamilton” so that’s great for him. Voiceplay released a early release (Patreons only) video last night which is fantastic (the only thing I’ll say is it’s from a CLASSIC musical yet has a modern rendition too) with this lovely young lady named Ashley who has a gorgeous voice, so maybe we’ll see more of her.

I've really been looking forward to your reaction to this. Like you, Geoff is my favorite singer. He is just such an immensely talented man. I love his smooth tones in every octave he hits, his range is so amazing, his resonance gets me every time. The fact that he puts so much into every song & video he does and does it all by himself is just so incredible. If you're a Geoff Patron be sure to watch the BTS on this. I'm not trying to wax poetic here, but this video, the music and the singing, opened up a part of me i didn't know i had. I know that sounds smarmy, but it's just the 100% truth. My emotions were ripped open. It was like listening to the winds of heaven ride over me, for lack of a better description, and the deepest notes/tones i felt in my bones. That's all i can say!

I'm so happy he did this one... not to slam too hard on Tim and Peter's cover of it, but Tim's accent just takes me completely out of that one... "Far ouver the misteey mountains cold..." is all my brain can latch onto, but this is so nice and clean. Still, I'd love for you to check out Jonathan Young's cover of this song. He does an amazing job of it, himself. Though... "Worst review/reaction"... nah, you've reacted wholly appropriately to this video.

I love this video from Castellucci. At the same time I still like the Hollens and Foust version better. But I can't really compare the two with each other, because 1 was with instruments and the other was pure A Cappella. They are both AWESOME in my opinion. Great Post.

I absolutely love Geoff's version. He is indescribable. Just a heads-up I bought the track on Amazon and it is screwed up. It cuts out just after the minute mark and doesn't come back until 5 seconds before the end.

DennisKFR.exe has encountered a problem (Geoff Castellucci) and has become unresponsive. I've not seen too many reactors mention this but some of the background bass notes he hits sound lower than any of the "main" Geoffs notes. I'm guessing it is because it is so low that it would be hard to form words. It still doesn't take away from the fact that this guy is literally vocalizing pitches at the end of the keyboard.
