What I mean is Ms Tara's reactions are really honest and not just to please the singer's fan to get a lot of views. For the record tho Ms Tara is not saying Jona is not a great singer, she's just saying that she could do better in this performance because in reality mistakes really happen 😊 and yeah I am a fan of our kababayan Jona

@@blairntolentino9697 sorry but no. Nichollo jay Buselak Well, so what she’s a pop singer? While you can hand pick pop singers who are able to sing anything classical, she explicitly chose to challenge herself with nothing else but - like Tara pointed out - the one aria ”impossible” to be sung. So are you saying: because she’s a pop singer, she should be judged in different terms, meaning lowering the bar? I’m quite positive Jona wouldn’t like that, rather would she find it degrading. She chose to challenge herself with nothing less, which shows her level of ambition and determination. She knows EXACTLY what the criterias are for classical singing. And as Tara said, her flaws are definitely NOT due to her lacking abilities - not even many professional coloraturas can handle this aria. More training!

I'm filipino and has seen this in many live shows but thank god someone is saying and telling what Jona needs to work on. I would love for my countrymen artist who sings other languages to study the pronunciation and dialect first before going into the song. Which I love it where you pointed out the words she needs to inunciate more and you are amazing. Love it. I hope Jona gets tips from you to improve her queen of the night as I love this Difficult song.

The best version I've ever heard for Queen of the Night's aria is Diana Damrau. Power, diction, clarity, staccato, and pitch are all perfect in her rendition(s).

If you think Diana Damrau, you will go nuts for Lucia Popp. The high F's staccatos sound like an actual flute.

My favorite thing about Diana is that she's also FULLY acting as well. There are a lot of good singers who can do that song, maybe even better than Diana musically. But most of them kind of stand still and gesture. Diana is running around, interacting with the daughter, going full crazy-mom while giving one of the best technical performances of the song. She's a whole other league.

German who studied german language studies here - I love how you explained the ü. The e sounds and the ü sounds we use really are articulated almost the same except for round mouth for the ü and wide mouth for the e - and the ü sounds are a little more closed. It's hard to pronounce for english speakers bc those vowels don't exist in your native tongue (except for scottish accents i think). The e encompassing the u like egg white and yolk is a nice imagery.

(kwento😊) As a "pop" singer, I was totally scared, tensed and stiff the entire performance coz it was my first time doing the aria in full😆😱🤣 I was vocal to my @asapofficial fam on how i felt about the idea of singing the whole song, because in our "Aces" concert with ms.@lanimisalucha (hello my magic flute mother🥰) and @darrenespanto, i only sing the first half of it and just finish there due to its level of difficulty, especially on the 2nd half🤣 And for the fact that, if the opera/classical music community hears this, i know for sure they have maaany things to say, technically...😅 But i still took the risk. Bahala na. I DO know it is truly, truly far from what it should be, but i also have adoration for this kind of music, and im willing to learn for more --open for major improvements. But much thanks to some of you for appreciating, even just the bravery and enthusiasm to sing it to the "mainstream/pop" audience😊❤ Also, i want to clarify to some and set the record straight😁❤: yes, i took conservatory of music in UST in 2009, major in voice (shoutout to all my teachers and classmates😁) BUT, was able to finish 1 semester only due to showbiz commitments😭 then just recently, i had a chance of having few lessons with @laramaigue's mom, teacher Nanette👋 in preparation for the opera segment in Aces concert😊. (So to the professionals, please be forgiving..😂❤) Anyway, dami ko na po kwento😊 Maraming salamat po uli sa lahat ng nakaappreciate, u guys inspire me to do more of this kind, and be better... God bless!! XO, JONA

It's good that she can DEMO her own vocal prowess! I've seen "vocal coaches" who can't seem to have enough range to sing lol. Jona was traveling to Italy for an ABS CBN show, jet lagged probably, something to consider btw. But I get the critique its constructive and informative.

There are other parts that tara is insulting... Like she said she is "cheating" .. JONA is creative in that way ang not cheating, she knew how to mask the sounds, and dont you think that's a real talent.. Not like tara who just follow everything strictly, but never won any competition... FYI, JONA is a WORLD Champion. GOLD medalist
