Love your reaction girl. She only used autotune at the beginning during the intro. The rest is her natural voice. She makes every cover her own. She actually won this episode. But Jessie J ultimately won the whole thing. You gotta check out SAY SOMETHING on the same show. Thanks for featuring her on your channel. I’m KraZy for KZ!!

Yes, autotune was in the first part only, the rest of the song was her real voice.

Jessie J might have won the entire competition, how, nobody knows. Jessie did not introduce anything different, just make a little change to the original version. Change for the sake of change does not show the artisti talent. I watch EVERY performance of every performer in this entire competition. Overwhelmingly, the audience gave KZ the best enthusiastic reception for every performance. KZ's "The Hurt You Never Know" showcased KZ's artistry by invoking the emotional reaction from the audience, including those watching the broadcast. For a NON-Chinese speaker who did not know Mandarin, learning the song just two weeks before the performance, KZ delivered a masterpiece. Her pronunciation and delivery stirred the Chinese Audience's emotion. Music is the universal language that transcend knowledge of the language of the country or people . . . KZ clearly move the bar to a much higher level. For those who did not know, including the Voice and Music coaches critiquing on KZ's performance . . . The arrangement was made by KZ. The SUPERB Orchestra, of course, arrange the instrumental - orchestral arrangement - - - delivered to PERFECTION! Kudos to the Sound Engineer for putting it all together!

Her introduction to this performance had a specific purpose and I thought it was very creative and mesmerizing. It obviously worked, to get the audience curious and into another dimension of electronic vocal technology. The transition to her normal singing was pure genius and she really planned something out of the box. Just like her rapping that nobody even saw it coming. KZ gave her audience that thrill and excitement and every transition from the Latin beat to that hint of jazz fusion made her performance exciting and full of delightful surprises. Each with a special flavor of energy, that elevates that goosebump reaction. I've watched this performance multiple times and each time there's a breathless lump in my throat that's indescribable. I never fail to get those goosebumps on my arms with each and every viewing. It was like being there in person and absorbing that energy and excitement of her audience's reactions. KZ's personalized interface with the band's contributions was icing on the cake. Her talents go far beyond her vocal attributes and as a performer she really showed her stage presentation, that without a doubt, gained the respect of everyone there. The judges, the other contestants, her audience and even her band members were happy to share the moment of a superb performance. Your body language, while watching her sing says a lot, that you too were caught up in that synergy of pure excitement. Thanks for sharing your passion for the art of vocal attributes.

There's no autotune on her vocals after the intro. The autotune was a stylistic choice. Setting a darker intent of the song from a woman scorned. Appreciate your comments about her making the song her own, not just another another similar rendition of the original. The arrangement is by KZ, too. Well done on your reaction. Thx.

She's actually not using autotune after the intro. She just developed that "autotune" voice maybe due to her surgery.

That was not auto tune its her voice...KZ Tandingan can do that sound by her own voice because she is so talented.See her singi on wish bus with the same song she do that again,there is no auto tune on wish bus all you here there was their own voice.

Hi Coach Tina, seemed am the first to comment. BTW, this video was at the China's Singer 2018 and using Autotune is definitely not allowed and inappropriate, but KZ insisted in using it just for the Intro to give a twist and attract the audience and the rest is her natural voice. And her signature is to make her own arrangement in every cover she makes. I guess I already commented this to you in the same video/reaction. DeJavu ????

@@ryo8209 - Wrong Rj.. Please stick to what you know. This argument has been re-hashed and settled a million times on KZfaq. Stop re-posting wrong info copied from other clueless KZfaq replies left by teenage fans. You obviously don't know what reverb is, so understanding and explaining hard pitch correction isn't going to work well for you. The INTRO was pitch corrected. The effect has many propitiatory names (and uses), but in the end, the process is the same. Notes being altered and tuned to pitch in order to avoid an organic vocal slide. Don't take my word for it. KZ had to answer the question enough times that her "Fans" should know, but I think, for some reason, they just won't accept it. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/prWTfcyWnb2laXk.html ... She doesn't explain the technical process, but does clarify the reasoning behind it.

@@ryo8209 Are you sure of what you're saying? And do you know what is a Reverb and Autotune and its effects? Or you're just trying to be knowledgeable of which you are not. KZ owns an Autotune (I forgot the brand but definitely not Altares) and has been using it not to alter her voice but to attract audience. She already settled this question on YT that she used Autotune in the Intro.

KZ is super creative with everything she sings, she is the entertainers entertainer. A very fair and honest reaction to this great talent. She may be a small girl barely up to 5 feet but talent is of a giant titan level. Truly love to watch this dynamo perform. If you have not yet been exposed to her yet, here is another great talent that will astound you, may I present to you Angelina Jordan. She entered Norway's Got Talent at just 7 years old turned 8 during the show and won. She just turned 14 while performing on AGT champions where she got the golden buzzer. It's not autotune. I think it's a synthesizer effect, like a reverb, applied on her mic through either a hardware applied on the mic system that she is using or through a software in the sound engineer's control.

She used auto tune not much even from her start, but only to stun and surprise where she is leading on to. She demonstrated proper use of electronics, to disprove th stigma that most ascribed to it. KZ is one world BEST!

It wasn't autotune, it was a special effect microphone she was allowed to use during the introduction. After that she switched mikes and the rest is totally her own voice. She actually beat Jessie J in this episode with this performance. In the next episode Jessie J sang Purple Rain. IMHO, these are the best two performances of the entire competition. And just a few info about KZ, when she was in highschool the doctor discovered that she has polyp in her vocal chords, that's why she always arranged a songs that fits with her abilities. so if you notice her highest range was C5.. Btw she's the one who arranged the song. Try to react also to her covers of "royals" and "say something" to know how great singer, performer and artist she is. Thanks
