So Hyang is the one for me... it's for the same reasons you said (I love fuller warm stable sound) + everywhere in her voice it's crystal clear, don't know how to explain it, it's like it's electronically produced (not even auto-tune, because muddy sound muddy even with auto-tune)

Some of those are not even best performance of SoHyang but still.. yes, they are both great vocalist but my ultimate favorite is always SoHyang. She is so spectacular in both techniques and musicality.

I love Sohyangs tone. Objectively, because of her near to perfect technique. She is one of the few vocalists you can look up to and learn from. Subjectively, she has a crystal clear voice and she is doing an amazing job in expressing emotions. I prefer Sohyangs tone over Arianas tone for example and she is such a master mind. She arranges most of the music by herself! Arirang alone, Lean on me or Fate for example

For me it depends on the song. Sohyang is probably my favorite vocalist of all time but AG sings certain songs better and they fit her voice better.

Sohyang for me, she is one of my favs of all time. Her technique, breath control and tone just floor me, but she has been perfecting it for much longer. I think Ariana is fantastic and if she takes her craft seriously and protects her voice with lots of practice "sky is the limit" for that girl. I honestly really prefer Sohyang's voice but I think this might be because I know her story. I know what she went through and what she stands for which I really really support. While I don't really know too much about Ariana's story.

Honestly, i like them both. However, I prefer Sohyang mostly because of the gospel sound. You should definitely react to Sohyang "Dream", it's spectacular.

I prefer SoHyang as well because I'm a fan of crystal clear soprano vocals with fantastic techniques. But I love Ari too haha I just think SoHyang is the vocalist on different league from others. What called as overwhelming talent.

Her closest and best friend Park Ki Young has about the same vocal range but is a tad more versatile because she can belt them with equal emotional impact and power in rock, pop, soul, jazz and classical ( opera). If you like angelic heavenly female vocalists with a high vocal range, then please keep reading. She goes by the name “ Eivor” She’s from the small Faroe island and when she gives a performance virtually the whole island of about 600 show up. She has an angelic voice so unique , so mystical , so magical, so entrancing so hauntingly beautiful that if you ( or your subscribers) react ( no one will recommend her so I hope you will react privately ) to the following 6 performances after which you will become an avid fan and utter to yourself “ why on God’s earth is she not famous??). You’ll want to subscribe to her website where she will enthrall and mesmerize and entrance you with about 40 more songs ( a mixture of live and MV’s and she is one of the few world class vocalists who is as good or better performing live. Every one of her live performances will silence your mind and open the floodgates of your heart and soul. ). Please KZfaq the following 6 live performances ( first 4 from her small island , the 5th ( “ “True Love” live from LA ) and the last in Denmark in front of thousands with full orchestra performing for the Queen Of Denmark!). The island’s backdrop scenery of mountains and rivers are breathtakingly beautiful and I wish I could book a plane and be sitting with the islanders for the live concert. Yep, tone and stylistic choice are subjective for sure. Since you asked, I appreciate both ladies' tone, with a slight edge given to Sohyang. I do subjectively enjoy both singers. Objectively, Sohyang is further developed, while Ariana can always improve and I'm confident given time she will.

I personally prefer Sohyang’s tone. Ariana is great too, but Sohyang has a more open, richer, more powerful sound. Ariana tends to get a bit nasal and thin the higher she gets while Sohyang maintains her openness, power, and technical prowess all the way up.

Yasss Sohyang I agree I like istening to arianas tone more and perhaps because I'm also a little biased to her becoz I like her songs and I don't speak korean but powerhouse voice definitely hands down Sohyang because yas, between the two I fink she sings better and moves emotions even when I don't understand korean.

i go with sohyang on this one, ariana is a really good singer too and i find myself listening to both a lot. sometimes with fans a lot of people go with the desicion that people with better range or are able to do higher pithced high notes are the best singers. thats a subjective opinion and i do love a good high note, but i do prefer sohyang because of her tone and breath control. ariana has a really unique tone and one of the best ranges ive heard, but i feel like sohyang is the winner in other categories. like justin said, they both are really good with pitch. not hating on any of them as they both sing better than i ever will :)
