Beautiful warm solo from Jonny at the outset (really nice to hear him featured) and then when Sam takes over......wow!.....I had no idea THAT voice was in there ❤️. I can just imagine him singing Finzi’s Dies Natalis. Stunning arrangement 👌.

I love that you broke with tradition and let Jonathan your Bass begin then at the right moment turned to Sam and his incredible tenor so the high notes rang through like a clarion. Saw this on Facebook but couldn't comment at the time.

I the magic of the KZfaq algorithm gives us at least four performances of this song by Voces8, going back over ten years. The evolution of the group’s sound, the production values of the recordings, are amazing.

I have to think Lenny would have liked this. His music was written to be sung by beautiful voices. Lovely Bass solo that transitions to the Tenor solo. Striking counterpoint. I can hear the tension on stage as if the Jets and the Sharks are about to Rumble.

This is one of VOCES8's best interpretations of popular music. The balance is adjusted just right to allow the soloists proper dynamic range above the accompaniment. Also the rhythmic freedom is most in touch with the emotional and semantics of the lyric. Thank you!

Not their best... Not written for a lower voice, or it is what I am used to. But there is reason why pieces are written in certain keys. They invoke other types of emotion. Interesting though. The ending is lovely.
