Удивительная птичка. Сама маленькая, а строит такой большой шалаш(дом) Хотя птичьи гнёзда разнообразны по месту расположения, размерам и конструкции, каждый тип гнезда лучше всего отвечает потребностям своих хозяев. Шалашник для привлечения своей самки очень практичный и щедрый хозяин. Приносит всё яркое не жалея сил(совсем как сорока). Всё это наводит на мысль, что есть заботливый Создатель. Он вложил животным и птицам инстинктивную мудрость.

Actually, interestingly enough none of this is for a practical purpose. He's basically making art to impress the female, rather than being adorned with ornamental plumage. It's more of a 'love nest' than anything else. His art gallery lol

Yes, it is only a mating-arena. The nest with the eggs is built by the female und looks like a normal bird-nest.

only one, actually, and it's not a nest. it's like a structure called a bower built by one male bowerbird over many years of his life in order to attract a mate. the actual nest is built by the female bower, and it looks very much like a normal bird's nest.

I watched stuff about bowerbird before, learned things or two about em, how they build their mating nest or dancing nest I'm not sure, how they scater offering for the passing female but this one takes the cake....look at the size of those palace and how neat this male arrange his offering

Thanks Metzer.Nice video and audio. This spparow like bird is having knowledge about engineering i.e. symmetry,construction,center of gravity and aesthetic views etc. Bird has also collected colourful food such as hunney flowers,fruits and seeds to impress his femalefriend. Wonderful.

yeah, bowerbirds use this structures to attract females, then they mate, then female alone builds real nest, raises chicks. Not a role model for humans
