Mars, a Los Angeles native who just finished a double major in psychology and women, feminist, and queer studies from Vassar, talks us through all their emotions leading up to their first show.

Yeah..it's a not so encouraging field unless you're above 5'9/SLIM/young(most active/successful models are age 14-25 with some exceptions but the gist), gorgeous/strange features that stand out. A VERY small percentage make it in the industry. But if you have those traits, go for it. Its not easy though to even get to a runway show let alone a successful model, it's cut throat AF!

Having been part of the shows in London and Paris for almost a decade, experiencing the atmosphere backstage it's a special energy but I do not miss it for a minute anymore. It's also very superficial and draining after a while. Enjoy it as long as it doesn't start feeling like dragging you down. You look amazing! ❤
