There is an extended clip of this performance that shows the moment Dimash sees that his father (the man they kept showing in the shadows) is there. He literally does a double-take in the middle of his thank-yous, and this joyous smile spreads over his face. He almost sprints off the stage to embrace his dad. It’s truly heart-warming. And then later he asks his father, “Did I sing well?”!!!! 😳😳 Greetings from Florida.

Dear John, Opera is really nothing for him, only showcase his range. If you do prefer analysis his technique, 'SINFUL PASSION" is best choice. it is mind blowing with any technique you could think of, it is singing TEXTBOOK!!! You are absolutely one of the best vocal coach out there!!!!

Discovered Dimash 3 days ago with this performance. Have watched it many many times as well as binging on his other videos. Simply can't get enough of him. Julie Andrews has been my personal top rated singer for 60 years. Dimash just changed that.

Dimash is #1 in my life! His stage presence is fabulous, I think by the end of his career, he's going to be even bigger than Freddie, and Freddie IS Mr Showman! On top of that, Dimash is classically trained and his range...out of this world. Please, please watch some of his other newer performances. The story telling in some of these pieces are to die for. ♡

I truely believe what your said. He not only sings beautifully with incredible voice, he just has that charismatic that pull you to him, connect with him. I have never addict to any singer in my life until I heard SOS..it was. like "BANG" There are some dears from his concert in NY said, he got the soft sexy voice like Michael Jackson, and also has that power of command the stage when he perform, just like Freddie, He got whole packages to be superstar/legend.

You think he's beautiful in a video, he's perfection in person! Mesmerizing and enchanted the whole concert hall for 3 hrs! I was in his NY concert was Amazing.. I will not get tired of hearing this young man with that wonderful gift, I cannot believe that a single human being has so much in himself, passion, emotion, beautiful personality, a great heart, and a pure and unique technique. Love it! Also, a great coincidence and pleasant surprise happened to me Dec 9, in New York, day before the concert. When I was about to enter the NY library I saw Dimash's parents who were also entering, Dimash's younger brother was our translator ... that was a nice meeting..I had some photos with them ....❤❤❤❤

Either Sinful Passion or Love is Like a Dream. Both showcase his full range from low baritone to high soprano and both are pop style songs that utilize a variety of techniques. Edit: another great song to analyze is Know. This song has an extended improvisation portion that changes from performance to performance. Check his official channel. The most recent ice skating version has a bit more improv than the New Wave/studio version and is my personal favorite.

Excellent. Enjoyed you enjoying his art. Just a note about this video, a little incidental that says something about his character, which is also extraordinary. This was from the vocal show in China. He comes from a culture that values family highly and keeps immediate and extended family close. His participation in this show had kept him away from family for some time at this point. At the end of the video, you see him go to the far side of the stage and throw himself into his dad's arms. If memory serves, his dad who had arrived without him knowing and watched from the audience. The camera does pause on his face in the audience earlier in the video. You can feel the depth of their connection and the raw real genuine self he has shared since the beginning. His vocal talent and skill and artful presentation are unmatched but it is his character that will be his legacy. Humble, authentic, and full of gratitude.

I’m stunned by his voice. I’ve never heard of him before. What a gift. I wish I could sing, but there is no hope for me. But, I belt out songs on the radio in my car where no one can hear my horrendous voice.

Thank you for the reaction. Let's forget "male" and "female", they're very limited classifications anyway, we now have the voice of Dimash, the voice of a human above all, but which is in a class of itself, extremely rare as you say, and how blessed we are to be able to hear him. "Richness" is the term I take out of your analysis as a word I could use for my experience since I heard him for the first time, in September 2018. His singing makes you rich, not in terms of material goods but quality of life, brightness of the days, perception of the surroundings, understanding of what it means to be a human. Love and respect from Iceland!

Dimash began his vocal training at age 5 ! It is amazing what the human spirit can achieve when its efforts are for the thing it loves ! He is, as you say, very blessed. It would have been a real tragedy for us to have had this gift hidden or misused; Dimash has not disappointed us. I adore him. Wonderful review and a new subscriber.

Was cool to see your first-time reaction to his show piece! I found Dimash a few months ago when searching the Diva Song from The Fifth Element. He is quite surprising but I think he's very careful with his choices for range within each song.

The ever present major voice started training at 5yrs old. So he's been training for 20 years. His voice teacher at the time said he had perfect pitch. What a great way to start your. He even told his teacher that his piano was out tune.

This song is so flipping euphoric and beyond ecstatic. It elates me in a unique way no other song has quite done in quite a while. The band backing him were exceptional, especially those gorgeous piano chords brought in during the chorus counterpointing the quirky chords from the intro and verses. The key change just doubled down on the energy this track brings to me every time!

Difficult to choose words to talk about Dimash's vocal qualities, as he is a chameleon to change pitch, techniques depending on the music. There are several voices and even when he sings normally, his voice is still beautiful. Be careful not to take a strike for Chinese TV HUNAN's copyright, as the video is from THE SINGER contest and currently the new contest is taking place, which is annual. You can get videos on Dimash Kudaibergen and Gloria Wu's channel, which has videos with subtitles, etc. I don't feel embarrassed to say that Dimash is the best vocalist today, the most beautiful voice. Very funny song where Dimash showed off (it was a competition) and had fun on the stage (he did an excellent job and deservedly won this round). But, in my opinion, when you see "Sinful Passion" and "Ogni Pietra [FanCam]" in the future, then you really will fully appreciate this unique artist, these compositions much better and more dramati👍👍😉😉

Hi John. I really enjoy your reactions and understanding the technical aspect of what singers are doing. Yes, we Dimash fans are passionate about him, because he is so good!! I hope you make more Dimash reactions. It's so hard to offer suggestions because every song of his offers something beautiful and unique, but agree with the suggestions for Sinful Passion and Ogni Pietra. Love is Like a Dream and Love of Tired Swans are also two of my favorites. Anyway, if you keep watching him, you will see more, and more, and more, etc.... sides to his voice. He is always surprising us!

Watch Sinful Passion and The Show Must Go On! Opera 2 is great, but these show off much more of his range of technique. He’s about as well rounded a singer as you can get.

This song was written and performed by Russian singer Vitas in 2008 at his concerts in China. He had a resounding success there and this song is well known and loved by the Chinese. Dimash used Opera 2 as a kind of portfolio to show his range and capabilities. He sang it 3 tones higher. That's why the audience reacts like this. Эта песня была написана и исполнена российским певцом Витасом в 2008 году на его концертах в Китае. Он имел там оглушительный успех, и эта песня хорошо известна и любима китайцами. Dimash defies any voice category. He has total mastery over every aspect of his singing. He is truly unique, as he not only keeps perfect pitch, he conveys such meaning and depth to every song he sings. An artist in every sense of the word.

As you said he has been blessed with a voice, here is a fun fact: The name Kudaibergen is of Kazakh (Kazakhstan) and Tajik (Tajikistan) origin and means "Voice of the angel". Kudaibergen is also of Oghuz (archaic Turkish) origin and means "Gift of God.".

YES. i don't sing, but found myself enjoying his high notes very much, unlike many other singers who, like you mention, are "hanging by their nails" to do it. his high notes are never shrill. and it looks effortless to him. incredible.
