Marc anthony did an interview and thanked Juan Gabriel for encouraging him to sing in spanish and that launched his cross over to latin music . Je had trouble holding his composure and his voice was cracking and you could see he was holding back tears. The interview was after Juan's passing .

Very nice video. Marc Anthony had such respect and admiration for Juan Gabriel and vice versa. When Juan Gabriel passed away Marc Anthony had a very emotional tribute to him. Two legends of the Latin world and it was great to see both of them have a duet and represent their respected countries. I would like to see more reactions of Luis Miguel. God Bless!

Hi Andy! If you liked this video, there’s another with Juan singing Ya No Vivo por Vivir featuring Natalia Lafourcade. It’s an old Juan Gabriel song that was made into a duet like this one. It’s a lovely cover of them singing in the studio. Another Natalia song you’d like is Soledad y el Mar (live). The audience is usually very active and sing along with her. She’s another Mexican artist I’m sure your fans would love to see more of. You’ve covered her once in La Llorona. They were good friends and Marc has covered a couple of Juan Gabriel's songs. He did a version of "Hasta Que Te Conoci" on his first salsa album "Otra Nota" in 1993. It helped launch his career. Before that he was singing freestyle with Little Louie Vega and La India.

My mother is from the same hometown as Juan Gabriel. When he passed away, my mother called me in hysterics. My heart dropped into my stomach because I thought she got into an accident, or she was hurt. She told me that Juan Gabriel passed and continued to sob uncontrollably. I never understood why she became so incredibly emotional with his passing because she was only a fan of his. It wasn't until I started listening to his music with more observation, and your videos that break down his music and voice with such detail. Now, I can clearly see why a piece of Mexico's heart died the day Juan Gabriel passed away, and why my mother took his passing so hard. His legacy will live on forever.
