VoicePlay is so underrated, glad you discovered them, definitely check out more! Their "Queen in 5 minutes" is legendary good, also all their wonderful ACA Top 10's that they put together.. honestly can't go wrong with them! For some rapping from their amazing baritone J.None I'd check out their "Superstition" cover and also their ACA Top10 Old School Rap! also... VoicePlay rarely ever block reactions and if so, not intentionally, they actually enjoy seeing people reacting to their vids, so you should be fine :)

Geoff has one of the heaviest basses I’ve heard, especially around the middle of the first octave. He has some solo music on his channel which is definitely worth checking out.

Ah, I see you are new. Let me introduce you. Tenor 1 - Currently unknown as Earl, a previous VoicePlay member, left the group not too long ago. VoicePlay are currently looking for new members. Tenor 2 - Eli (pronounced like Ellie) who is the bald guy. In this arrangement he sings tenor 1 as well. Baritone - J:none. He’s that guy to the right. (his riffs gives me chills EVERY TIME dude!) Bass - Geoff (pronounced Jeff) who is the beefiest bass you could find. Layne - Vocal percussionist. Layne has a really cool way of layering up different tracks of sound effects! VoicePlay is amazing! They're one of my favorite acapella groups. They've done some great songs with featured performers since Earl left amicably. Omar Cardona did Superstition with them. His brother is a tenor in Voctave. VoicePlay is based in Orlando and members previously worked at the theme parks. They were on the Sing Off the same season as Home Free.

Personally I think not being able to help but sing along is the BEST reaction. Pentatonix loves when their fans sing along. That's the reaction they love the most.

Queen in 5 minutes, Warriors, Can’t Help Falling In Love, Bridge Over Troubled Water and of course Oogie Boogie are all amazing and totally worth checking out. But honestly there is not a bad VoicePlay song you really can’t go wrong. One of my favorite things about them is that they take the original song and really add their own flavor to it in the arrangements and they’re also super theatrical with their videos which is so fun to watch.

This is their tightest composition to date and it sort of had to be given how iconic and well known the song is. You ought to listen to some of Geoff's solo work as well. I love listening to Tim and Avi, but I think Geoff has the best voice of the three and does the cleanest deep base notes.

Currently VP is Geoff (Jeff), Eli (Eh-lee), J'None, and Layne. That's from left to right. Their fifth member Earl left in the middle of last year.

Omar Cardona is brother to another outstanding tenor in another outstanding acappella group, E.J. Cardona in Voctave. Voctave is like Voiceplay in that they are both based in Florida (Orlando area) and members are current or former Disney cast members. Voctave has about 10 members, is mixed male/female, and their sound is more orchestral and definitely Disney influenced. Worth checking out.

The guy in the middle was Omar. They are currently only a 4 person group as their high tenor, who had been with them since the group started, left this last summer.

Geoff has my respect for sure, but Avi is king of bass for me, all around sound. Matt (PTX) has really matured lately, keeps getting better. Tim of Home Free is a dragon. Love him too. I would love to hear all 4 in a song. I doubt any sound system could handle such beasty basses together, but my soul would weep with pleasure.

The guy in the center is their "guest" performer. The black guy is J. None. He left to join the military but has recently "guested" on at least 2 great videos while on leave. Check out If I Were A Rich Man/Girl to see their new guy Cesar del a Rosa. Also please view Daddy Sang Bass. Earl is the real high voice. (Watch for the weird glance between Earl and Geoff.) It's a great video that always makes me smile when their families -- parents, sibs, spouses, kids -- join them at the end. And please don't skip Queen in 5 Minutes and Boy Bands in 5 Minutes. They're such a joy to watch.

Voiceplay, because they are independently produced, are almost never copywrite struck. The arrangement is almost always done by either the beatboxer (Layne) or the bass (Geoff). Looking forward to your other reviews on them... they are to Halloween what PTX is for Christmas so I hope you got to see some of their spooky works. I see in my sidebar that you got to Oogie's song, but they have only gotten stronger this last year.

Geoff does the base instrument sound as well as the bass singing. The beat boxer can inhale a note as low as Geoff's bass & Eli the bald guy sometimes sing under tones when Geoff is singing. I think the beat boxer does as well.

Try Warriors. I'll just leave that there. Their previous high tenor Earle has left for personal reasons, so the guy in the middle is standing in on this occasion. Most people mention Tim in relation to bass, but Avi, yes, he's the other one. It's a kind of triad, Geoff, Tim and Avi. Fans have their favourites but it's personal preference.

If you like rap and metal, check out Bloodywood. They are an Indian street metal band. They rap the verses in English and the chorus is sung in Hindi, by a guy who can growl like a frickin' tiger.

Do VoicePlay's cover of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters". VoicePlay loves the reactors who get their music out there. They are not owned by a record company/studio. Geoff (bass) and Layne (beatboxer) alternate in being responsible for the newest video - from arrangments, to staging, costuming, setting up camera work, make up (sometimes hire in make up artists), premix audio (hire in Ed Boyer for final mix), Eli (bald tenor rhymes with jelly) does lighting, green screens, computer work (See My Mother Told Me or Enemy), J None (baritone - right now in the US Navy, says he'll be back, nearly has 2 yr done of 5, came back after boot camp to do lead in Friends on the Other Side and in Jan 2023 came back for Nothing Else Matters). Omar comes in occasionally (Dragonborn Comes, Superstition, Dream On + more). Geoff has a solo channel worth following. My first exposure was 2 Halloweens ago when Geoff did the Monster Mash while I was watching YT news, I broke in and listened to it, watched another, watched his VoicePlay and haven't been the same since.
