This is the first time they've sung with Lauren. Lauren, as the "stairwell singer" did a cover of this in short form and posted on TikTok, that went viral and she did a full version, and now this collab with VoicePlay. Each step has taken it to a more complex form, while never losing that beautiful voice. I really love this: it feels like a glorious culmination of something she started long ago. I'm a huge VP fan, but one of their strengths is finding powerful voices to collab with. Lauren is one.

Shortly after she was approached by Voiceplay to collaborate on this, she was also approached by The Bass Gang for their cover of this song. Her original cover, in her stairwell, was that good!

This is definitely on my Halloween playlist....I love Lauren Paley. She is known as the stairwell siren. She has TikToks of her singing in stairwells...she is creepy...lol Loved the reaction....Lets do more VoicePlay!!

Each of the singers represents a character from the Haunted Mansion. Eli is a character from the stretching room portraits, Geoff is the caretaker, Cesar is Madam Leota, Layne is the Hatbox Ghost, and Lauren is Constance Hatchaway the bride.

Your reactions are priceless. Whenever Voice Play does a spooky video they always add a little humor to it. They are the first ones to introduce theatrical acapella & other groups caught on to it & did a few themselves much later.

Voiceplay pretty much owns October. They have so many great Halloween songs. If you haven't done the Voiceplay/Home Free collaboration "Hillbillies vs. Zombies", this is the month to do it. Yes, do more of them. Another acapella Halloween song is Pentatonix doing "Aha!" (the official video has the spooky visuals and I prefer it over the live version because of the cleaner audio).

Geoff Castellucci has his own channel where does solo videos. Lauren made this song famous on tiktok when she sang it in the stairwell of her apartment building. She is now known as the Stairwell Siren. The theme and characters come from Disney Haunted Mansion. A very ghostly ride. Voiceplay saw her video and asked her to collaborate to do a Halloween video. Of course yes. This is the result of combining the two. Before doing this they did a mini with her singing in the stairwell.

I loved when Lauren Paley sing russian lullaby tili tili bom and the wellerman. She was also singing in stairwell while 9 months pregnant. Now teaming with voiceplay.

Great reaction! I don't like scary things, fortunately it was also funny! I will always be here for Voiceplay. You haven't reacted to the bass, Geoff Castellucci's solo channel yet. He started doing solos during the pandemic. He has three pieces for Halloween, The Headless Horseman, Monster Mash, and the one he dropped last week, Ghost Riders in the Sky. But he has other great pieces. Subscribed in anticipation of more Voiceplay and some Geoff.

As others have said, Lauren is known as "The Siren In A Stairwell". She did a great cover of "My Jolly Sailor Bold". I swear, her neighbors must be convinced that the stairwell is haunted.

Voiceplay ARE AWESOME!!! They do have a few other songs with female singers!!! Jeff can hit the VERY VERY LOW NOTES!! Lane master beat-boxer and Ellie can hit the notes too!! Voiceplay is an AMAZING!!!! They make everything looks SO easy and fun!!! Check out other Voiceplay videos!!

Non spooky stuff they've done you might like, try the Little Mermaid Medley, or the Moana Medley. But those two videos will show how the group has matured and grown. BTW, Rachel Potter is the featured guest singer in both of these videos. And no real spooky stuff to worry about. :)

The creativity... all over youtube, vocalists and videomotographers (???) get more awesome. I recommend Sabaton's "Bismark" for the awesome video work, as well as understated musical excellence; and Sabaton's "Christmas Truce' for the video, the more blatant musical excellence, and their cheapskate approach to the singer on the credits... I keep coming back to you; great choices, great reactions!

She lives up in Tennessee. Layne flew up and got her audio and video, then turned around and beat feet to Orlando where Hurricane Ian was coming across the state. But they got it done! Elizabeth of the Charismatic Voice did the flying ghosts voices.

Might be late to the party, but you should definitely check out The Bass Gang's cover of this. They put their own little spin on it, and Lauren Paley is featured in it as well. They're a group of bass singers from across the world that record their parts individually and edit them together. I say bass singers, but they're like Geoff and can hit ridiculously high notes as well. Worth checking out...

Voiceplay's 'Oogie Boogie Song' might impress you more than their 'This Is Halloween' did. I'm serious, they're both great but I think Oogie Boogie Song is actually better.

If I was 8, my mattress would be on the floor after this song. Nope, nope, nope. Nah, its really just a fair bit of fun... makes you grab the nearest arm a little bit tighter. So, I guess you got all your comments before this became public knowledge, but Elizabeth from The Charismatic Voice provides a few f the background vocals .. word has it, he voice shows up when the ghosts start circulating around. (She posted a comment about doing backing vocals for them in her Community posts... pretty sure it's still there... I'm not sure if she gets 'credits' on the song itself.
