Be fair, that seems to be the case in the show and, the galaxy is vast. it makes more sense for there to be more disaprate sects and or hidden groups of force users, isolated. But it doesn't stop the REST of the episode being shit, even if the action scenes were decent. it makse me hate the show more. The idea of dealing with someone who is a force users but not trained by jedi nor sith is a really cool idea in general but its never utilized. Honestly i imagine that the post empire galaxy would be like that, fulla disparate force user factions sprining up with the empire gone and the jedi gone as well, peeps figuring out their own methods.

Well there were quite a few in legends even whole factions of non sith dark side and red lightsaber users

@@AshThree Dooku would beg to differ. Obi-Wan and Maul were equals, and Dooku bodied Obi-Wan, like it was nothing. Then fought Yoda to a draw. He only "lost" to Whine'akin, because he was set up to lose. I mean, seriously, what kind of a noob just stands there for three seconds letting somebody slice their hands off?

​@anton.chigrinetc.96 The Revenge of the Sith novel actually makes it pretty clear that purely in lightsaber combat Obi-wan was essentially the best form III lightsaber duelist ever, but form II (which Dooku used) is like rock to scissors for form III. It also makes it pretty clear that even though Dooku had planned to lose, he really was overpowered and beaten by Anakin for real. He literally just couldn't keep up anymore. Anakin and Obi-wan are two of the greatest lightsaber duelists ever. Obi-wan's weakness was in force power, and Anakin's was in control. The sith here would get bodied by Obi-wan or Anakin in a lightsaber duel for sure. Especially Anakin. Dooku could as well. Dooku was essentially unbeatable to all but the absolute most powerful jedi like Yoda, Windu, or Anakin.

Obi Wan only lost those duels in the Clone Wars because he was either caught off guard, or conflicted and angry because the person who killed his master who he thought was dead was still alive, Satine literally just died in front of him and he had no will to fight, and Maul and Savage double teamed him. Which if you remember Obi Wan fought the both of them off pretty decently. And Dooku is the reason why he lost. He purposefully taunted Anakin to make him tap into the Darkside. Only to find out that a Darkside empowered Anakin was too powerful for him. Anakin at that point was the 3rd or 2nd best duelist in the Clone Wars depending on where you would place Windu without getting empowered by Vaapad. And choreography errors is no way to judge a character's strengths. Because you could say the same for Attack of the Clones Anakin literally standing still for like 3 seconds to let Dooku cut off his arm.

Like, maybe when Mae and Smilo were walking through the woods, discussing ways to defeat Jedi without a weapon, they could have brought up using the stuff to neutralize a lightsaber and then defeat the opponent hand-to-hand (admittedly a terrible strategy to attempt on a Wookie of all things). Or maybe have her use it from the beginning, like if she had used it against Trinity in the first episode but wasn't quite able to take her down without resorting to her daggers. It's also BS for Disney to openly declare that Legends isn't canon, but then borrow directly from it without explanation.

@billjacobs521 I agree a bit, though if they still talk about it in a future episode, I think it's still effective As for borrowing from legends, personally I don't think there was ever a reason to not. They technically already did when Rebels introduced Thrawn into the star wars universe

Of course, the only genuinely cool thing in this series was taken from Legends.

@Queen_Audrey1803 there are deposits, think of it like this, silver is rarer than gold, but still exists in high enough levels to make jewellery, Coryosis is rarer than Beskar, but still exists in high enough quantities to make armour, just not enough armour to protect an entire civilization, which we know besksr does on Mandalor

Yes definitely dont mention there are multiple alloys not just Cortosis that was designed to fight laser weapons. Like Phrik which was what Darth Sidious's Lightsaber was also made with as with the Gold color fron electrum to it. The Magna Guards who fought beside greivous were supposed to be Phrik
