I love everything about this area. It plays on EVERYTHING: Previous mechanics, new mechanics, your own preconceived notions, the music, the new lore dumping in every room, the music, I especially love the rooms that force you to pick up a burden it's designed around you not using. Even when I got stuck, as soon as I understood the new mechanic the room was enjoyable to solve. The pause room WAS dumb though.

the pause room grew on me when i accidentally stood on the stairs before solving it so I missed the crystal and got mad at myself

I fucking love this song and this area. It’s a true comprehensive test of everything you’ve learned up to this point. Not just the base mechanics, but your ability to mess with the UI, understand egg hints, keep track of room layouts while moving through other rooms, and even the lore of the game itself. All backed by this fantastic track that kept me going through the hardest puzzles in the game. The raw energy it gives off is amazing, like it’s pushing you forward through impossible odds.

This game has the most perfect and smoothest difficulty curve. Each new area builds on the last, training you to become the friggin puzzle genius you never thought you could be when you banged your head against the wall for the first playthrough

Funny how the echoing sinewave instrument used at the start of this melody is ALSO a leitmotif, about as much as the Voided theme. It's present at the start of the game's reveal trailer, during the character's first steps across the squares. It's there at the start of the Voided theme, where a safety catch is triggered. It forms the leitmotif of Tail, where you see someone "off the grid." It's in A Plausible Theory, peeking in on the topic of discussion. Perhaps, a leitmotif of the key to the proverbial safety locker.

YEA the xenoblade parallels in this game are HUGE. When I first saw the carcass ending (I found NULL because I thought it was the intended solution on floor 255 as Gray) and saw that sequence I was in awe. Just imagining if you found out about Klaus randomly in the middle of Xenoblade with no further explanation. What a masterpiece
