easy approximation for feet is to multiply the meter distance by 3. I'm with you and have always used feet - I normally use zone focus in any case. I found this lens superior to my older 35 mm leica summicron so I sold that lens. I use this lens on an M10, M4-P, Mono 246, and adapted to a Panasonic Lumix S1-R. Great performance and price.

Are the minimum focus issues a problem on digital M cameras when using the rangefinder?

@@TheSH1N1GAM1 if you are properly zone focussed not really - wide open you have to ensure you don't exceed the minimum rangefinder distance

Great summary. I have had this lens as my only lens on the M6 for 6 months now. It's a beautiful lens. Sharp and has character. Great for documenting life. I do agree with you though on the minimum focus issue (I wish it stopped where it's supposed to... Missed a few shots) also wish it had feet as well and a focus tab instead of the pin... That being said... Performance wise I can't tell the difference in imagine quality on the M6 between it and the summicron. One day I'd love to have the summicron but until then this voigtllander like you said, is a steak and should serve me well for some time.

The minimum focus thing just takes some getting used to, and it actually works on a digital M down to .58 which is nice. I got one of those rectangular cutout Haoge hoods and it looks sharp. It's crazy what you get for the money, you basically get a Aspherical Summicron in a vintage body for $700....

I have a rather excellent little Canon 28mm f/2.8 LTM lens that I have the opposite problem: with this particular copy, distance scale only in feet, goddamit!

So, if I understand correctly, you got yourself (kind of) accustomed enough to the characteristics of a woman to get a child with her, but you cannot get yourself to get accustomed to measure in meters? Man, I feel for you when that baby comes out! Massive congrats though, your life will be richer from then on! :-)
