Oh wow! That really is different. The whole warning system has been made from an enclosure box and Klaxon Flashguard LED Beacons! The tram looks interesting too! Great video!

It was very interesting to look at. I looked very closely at both units and couldn't find a manufacture name anywhere. Thanks for letting me know the beacons. I may be incorrect but the bleepers might be the same things inside push button units at road crossings. Thank you! 😎👍

No problem. You can see the bleeper in the middle and it does sound like a pelican crossing, but I don't know who makes it. There are a lot of generic bleepers out there so it could be anything.

The warning came when the train was very near! The train had to stop to wait for the lights to turn red! I think the trigger should be further up the line.

Thank you! There's another crossing with these lights on this railway no more than 300ft down the line. The red lights on those flash alternately.

Same as these. The yellow lights flash alternately then red lights flash alternately. Same sequence here except the red lights flash together rather than alternately. The other crossing also has lower pitched bleepers.

They should have fence on both sides of the rails so no one can ever accidentally touch or go near the center electrified rail. Seems dangerous to have a 110 volt rail just laying there unprotected.

No, because it's not a public highway crossing. It's on a footpath to the beach across the heritage Volks Railway.

Regular crossing lights would be too expensive and they're quite large so they wouldn't fit. These lights are non-standard and I guess, not that expensive to manufacture.

The lights are Klaxon Flashguard LED Beacons. They're usually used as warning beacons on machinery and things like that.

These warning lights are relatively new, having been installed in early 2018 during the railways redevelopment. I don't think the lights originate from America but I don't know where they were manufactured.
