This is the most useful review I've seen or read on this car. It helped me to buy a 50's edition. This is a great car and really features well for the price point. Thanks for taking the time and giving us the details about the frame, safety, transmission, and other technical points, while adding in how fun it is. This would be a great review even if you weren't so adorable.

Wife and I got the hardtop Turbo version for a bit of fun, but it's more about just enjoying the heritage than tearing up the roads with these bugs. Gee Emmy, I'm sorry that the weather sucked for you and that you sounded under the weather from exhaustion. Seeing we were doing a "convertible" I wish you gave some time to the top folding up and down and how flush it looks down. I love the 50's style wheels as well. I think I would love the diesel version with its 666 HP and 999lbs of foot torque. ;)

Always a good times watching your vids Emme! Pretty sure the Beetle doesn't has enough power for you after driving the new Cobra Mustang, but there is some help for that via HPA Motorsport in BC. It would be the ultimate sleeper car, go to the track and race for some pinks! =D

Emme is real so its easier to believe what she is saying than those others. Sometimes those others I think must make things up because when it is a car I have driven I think what are they talking about, they just sound like the press when they try to create controversy where their is none all to create interesting content whether they believe their own words or not.

Any one know why the left rear floor is soaking wet ?? Just got the car two weeks ago and noticed a funny odor, asked dealer, no help. started to look around as I picked up the mats, I noticed as I pressed down the carpet was getting saturated, when I smelled my hands MOLD nasty. The water appears to be coming from under the car, How do I drain the water??? PS Car has been in the garage for three days hasnt been in rain since I bought it ..

Two things. The car you drove was definitely the 2.5 5 cylinder. And the DSG is NOT an automatic. It's a twin clutch automated manual. No torque converter slush at all.

The car I drove was the Turbo. In fact, everyone wanted to drive it and I took it for the whole day and kind of got in trouble. And while I understand that "technically" a DSG is not an automatic, in my opinion two pedals=auto. -Emme@RoadflyTV
