Hej 👋 Without this drop, the charging curve would have been fantastic. Still ok tho 🙂 Have you seen the first reviews of the ID7 Kombi (or Tourer) ? Seems that the exterior trim has been slightly updated , especially the lights

Yes, the drop breaks the curve a bit. Seems to be related to insufficient cooling or late start of cooling. But still under 30min can be considered good. Watched some videos about the #id7tourer looks goods. Couldn't spot any differences for the lights though?

The drop of the charging curve isn’t always the same. Battery life had a charging speed over 100 kWh until 64% with higher outside temperature.

Looks like a really good product. Too big for me. Wish they made the ID.3 with same quality.

They will update the id3 with the new screen and software and the new e motor. Similar to what they did with id4 and id5.

I am pretty sure going up on the wheel size will negatively effects your range. Go with the 19", less weight, better range.

Yes, it's ntäot the wheel size itself it's s otmur aerodynamics and unsprung weight.

It's not an ISO test but still your own condition for this test was not met. You weren't in auto mode for the climatisation or maybe I didn't understand correctly what you said ?

Yes, agree. Normally heating consumes ~3kW. So 1 hour of heating will consume approximately 3kWh. But that is energy you will lose when charging the cold battery anyway.

Preheating is done with 5.5 kW power

What would be the consumption of this car while driving 150 kmph on the highway? Any chance to assess?

Thank you. So approximately 35 kWh/100 km. In Poland you can drive 140 kmph + 10 kmph tolerance with no fine. That would give 200 km range only. My regular travelling distance is 280 km, 180 km of highways (average spped approx. 120-130 kmph, depending on traffic conditions) and 100 km of one lane roads (average speed approx. 60 kmph). To reach my destination without charging I would probably have to drive not that fast on highways. Anyway, it still seems to be the best option on the market, but I am waiting for ID.7 Tourer GTX to have bigger battery and 4 wheels drive.

Luckily, my Polestar 2 2024 doesn't have it even here in Europe. Only blinking red speed sign, which is perfect. I can chose to turn on sound as well though, haha.

The manufacturers are well aware of the annoyance of the solution and I doubt any one will implement it if not forced to

Too me, it looks like a older car than the last Passat for some reason, maybe its the "soft" design? Design language actually reminds me of a 20 year old Nissan Primera, so maybe that is why this car does not really do it for me :)

Primera, that's an old classic..🤣 futuristic back in the days, not so much today..
