Namaste, Watch this video to know my impressions of the VW Virtus. Virtus is a C-segment Sedan from the German brand in India. It is based on the same underpinnings as Slavia. I drove both 1 Liter and 1.5 Liter engines with their Automatic versions.

In Indian market, even brand like VW have to go from TOP NOTCH to DECENT! And those who failed to downgrade the quality, Left the country!🤐

it's not 100% true. its more about understanding the market. Brands like tata and mahindra are giving nice features and safety in a justified price bracket. because they are made in india(most of the parts). whereas brands which left or is like vw/skoda are still depending from outsource causing high manufacturing costs and high service maintenance costs. People also buy audi, bmw in india knowing the product and value that comes with it. 17 lakhs for a sedan that lacks features that is now coming in 10 lakhs car is not justified.

Truth is costumer has nowhere to go. For refinement and service one can go for Hyundai but compromise safety, For service and safety one can go for Honda and brezza but compromise refinement, For high safety one can go for Indian brands but compromise on refinement, service. What can a customer buy!!

@@nikhilgarg8198 all companies outsource parts equally. Indian brands give safety but do cost cutting on engines, quality of parts, service. No company is giving a complete package.

@@harisankar629He is talking about sun visor not sunroof. Sun visor is used to protect your eyes from sun rays so you can focus on driving and not irritated by the sun.

@1.01 It's not the reflector Highbeam, It's the turn signal indicator... Highbeam is in the projector itself.

If you are looking for an Automatic option, Go for 1.0 litre automatic in any VW/Skoda. DSG is unreliable. I had to spend around 2 lacs after warranty got over in my Polo GT TSI.

VW Virtus seems to be transported from the Autobhans in Germany to the Indian Highways. It's acceleration is truly phenomenal car with a 1500 CC engine. Its really a class apart. German tech at its finest.

1L engine is a gem.. drive under 110km/hr and it never disappoints you in any case.. even gives great mileage except in traffic conditions at bangalore city .decent performance and no need to use paddles even for an overtake in normal indian conditions. 1.5 engine is definitely next level..

They still have pin point accuracy , it's just lighter than before.Rather take a test drive before believing these peeps. Remember, they're the same group of people who were unhappy about rapid's heavy steering.

Namaskar Gagan ji, I want to thank you for helping me out in selecting the car and I want to tell you that I bought VW Virtus 1.0 Highline MT version. I just want to let you know the reviews you people are giving had helped me in my buying process. Initially I was also looking for Compact SUV segment (Creta, Sletos, Taigun, Elevate etc.) but later after having an experience of Honda City (my fie have it) I got to know the benefits of sedan and the practicality of it. By selecting the VW Virtus, I'm getting all the benefits of sedan with a good ground clearance. All thanks to you people it just helped me a lot and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. As you said there's a roughness in this engine initially but it is great to drive at higher speeds. There's some cost cutting by VW which is not good as per their standards.... But I'm happy to bear that stuff because the driving experience is great. Thank you once again for making my decision easy. Hope to meet you soon.

Speed 80. Fuel efficiency 21-22 highway. City 10-14. It need a bit engine noise control. Insulation nhi h engine pe. Control better h. I have 1.0 experience

Go for Honda, trust me you'll love the reliability of the whole car. It's not like vw group is not reliable but honda is better in real world reliability.

Ac ka aura me bhi ho jata hai. After certain period compressor band ho jata hai and after some time again start ho jata hai. Especially on highways

Idk how a 23 lakh (on road) city makes sense when it is gonna give 20 kmpl in real world cost 4-5 lakhs more than the petrol version has lesser boot space isnt fun to drive... if you prioritise fuel efficiency you are better off buying the diesel gonna return 20 kmpl as well is gonna cost you 18 lakhs on road i.e 5 lakhs cheaper than the hybrid

If u want a practical spacious comfortable cabin and great handling and reliable sedan it's the honda city but if u want fancy features and good touch screen we can go with hundai and these cars 😂😂 I guss the new vw and scoda are only great choice if u want that 1.5 liter engin but they should really improve the handling and suspension [ride quality] simply honda is smooth and comfy even at high speeds

what about the most important aspect of virtus: the higher ground clearance???? Entire Indian Car market is tilting towards SUVs only for this one reason: Bad roads needing high ground clearance MANDATORILY! But apart from that, SUVs IMO have ABSOLUTELY no advantage. In fact they have many disadvantages: bad fuel efficiency, body roll, low boot space, difficult ingress-egress. Here is a car, which has tried to make Sedans PERFECT by addressing that one, and only one issue with sedans, but alas you chose to not cover it. Disappointed Gagan, given your level of detailing in all videos, this glaring omission is unacceptable. also not discussed for 1.5 is the cylinder deactivation tech, which on highways translates to better fuel efficiency on highway than even the 1.0, but again no mention. Disappointed!!!

With higher ground clereance there is body roll and with tall boy design .that's why most sedans are low gc.onemore important thing that SUVs have stiff suspension to decrease body roll.
