The presented Volkswagen Breakdown Truck No. 490 was produced by Corgi in 1967. Like all cars, it had interesting functions and was very popular among buyers. I managed to buy the model at a flea market. It was incomplete. The previous owner had already opened this model, so the glass and cockpit were missing. I managed to copy the missing parts based on borrowed ones from another collector. I brought this car back to show condition. As usual, I also made copies of the box in which this model was packed in the video. Thank you for watching the video, I publish car repair videos on Tuesdays and Saturdays. You can turn on subtitles in your language with commentary on the activity in the video.

Another great restoration and quite comprehensive too. At first glance, the original model may have looked in reasonable condition, but in reality, most of the model was missing, and you did that extremely well.

Die Ausgangsposition des Abschleppwagens von VW sah bemitleidenswert aus. Das Ergebnis der Restaurierung ist ein Highlight. Tolles Modell an dem wieder alles vorhanden ist inklusive der Autoscheiben. Toll lackiert. Exzellent! Gruß, Joachim Pozycja wyjściowa lawety VW wyglądała żałośnie. Wynik renowacji jest atrakcją. Świetny model, który ma wszystko, łącznie z szybami samochodu. Czy to jeszcze renowacja, czy już nowy budynek? 🤔 Poza ciałem właściwie nie zostało nic. I envy you the silicon work - it is really brilliant. Those replacement parts were sweet! Quite a bit of clean-up, but well worth it. I have never seen a real one of these - I wonder if it would actually work as a breakdown truck, with so little counterweight over the front axle..?

Brilliant as always. I have one in exactly the same condition which is on the 'To do' list. I also have a white one in very good condition with the trailer and a Maserati F1 racing car. Do you have a Corgi Race Car trailer? They only came in Gift Sets, never sold separately and can be hard to find . Finally, what paint did you use? It was a good finish.
