I'm honestly not too exited that Allura's getting an even bigger role next season. I wasn't a huge fan that Allura, Keith and Shiro were given basically all the attention is Season 2 with Hunk Pidge and Lance being pushed to the side, so I hope that's fixed in Season 3

anime fan In Season 2, Shiro goes missing. And fans theorize that Allura will be the Black Paladin Substitute. Or Keith will be the Black Paladin, and Lance becomes the Red Paladin, and Allura is the Blue Paladin.

I honestly want Allura to have blue, Lance to have red, and Keith to have black. This is because blue is one of the easiest to control, and I think Lance could benefit from having the challenge of trying to bond with red (remember, challenge=character development). Plus, Keith would be a great leader. He gives up knowing the secrets of his past (something he's wanted to know all his life) to save innocents. And anyway, I have this headcannon where once Lance is red's pilot, red would totally play matchmaker and think about Keith all the time so Lance would think about Keith all the time and then Lance's crush would just get bigger and bigger. Edit in 2022: I turn 19 in a week. How in the FUCK did little 13 year old me call this shot so hard. That's insane

I really hope Keith refuses to leave the red lion, and that either Allura or Lance lead Voltron. I reaaally hope Lance ends up leading and Allura takes blue, because Lance really needs more character development and focus in Season 3. Just imagine Lance having to leave blue, too. She'd let him go, but would always have her arms open. I just have a lot of hope for S3.

hinameii While she IS going to be a Paladin, I don't believe she's going to be the Black Paladin. She does have leadership skills but she's not as bonded to the rest of the Paladins as Shiro was, which made him the perfect leader. Considering we already had the foreshadowing to this, I'm imagining Keith takes up Black. Allura would be closest to Blue out of the other lions but if Allura were to get Blue and Lance Red, I don't know how well Lance would do in Red, haha.
