Volunteering in a South African Township

During our time here in Cape Town we spent some time volunteering at a small school in a township just outside of Cape Town at Go Eco's Cape Town Community Project.
We also went on a mini road trip along the coast of CT 🚗

I was deeply touched to see you helping and playing with difficult children. Just by listening to the laughter of the children in the video, I could sense how much joy and happiness they were experiencing. In the future, I also want to help people in need, just like you do. I never comment on youtube vids but I have to comment on this one lol. Ahhh this vlog was amazing! I'm dying to travel Africa one day and hopefully volunteer at an orphanage. One thing I've noticed from your videos (which is the same reason as to why I'm hooked on your channel haha) is that it's so obvious that you are both such genuine, kind, caring people. Doesn't matter what you're doing or who you're speaking to - you always remain that way. It's so refreshing to see and it makes me so incredibly happy! I'm looking forward to seeing more vlogs xx

Oh I can't wait to go to Africa.The UK is so boring at times and the weather is appalling.Love to setup a wildlife reserve somewhere.Oh well.Only 5 years to go.

Brings back memories of being in Cape Town. Been there 4 times and going there again in a month's time! Also, is that possibly Khayelitsha or Mitchell's plain where you are volunteering?

How do I do this? Volunteer at those schools? I want to do a service trip for a couple of months and will need a place to stay and food while I help out. Are there any organizations that do that and volunteer at those South African schools?

You were there for yourself not for them. They didnt really need your help. Just give funds if you really wanna help.

Vanesza It's hard to say, there is 11 languages in South Africa.

Vanesza we have 11 official languages and Spanish is not one of them. English, Afrikaans and 9 other African languages like Zulu, Tshwane, Xhosa, Pedi, Sotho those are the most popular
