Okey i didnt know that. I dont remember if i said it in the video, but another good trick is. If the seal have worn on the rotating shaft and made a taper you can try not to tap the new seal into the same place and leave it a couple of millimeter outwards, most of the time there are room for this free fix.

@@Foffe2000 Yes, I have also done it that way. However, old shafts are usually pitted and rough on the external section, so moving the seal slightly forward can make it worse. BTW, is that your own line boring set-up, or did you borrow it? Did you manage to get good weld coverage without too many wormholes?

@@Brad-lt6mr The line boring kit is my own , you can buy it from a guy in sweden. "martinssons mekaniska" www.martinssons.se/ . It costs about 1000 euro/dollars. There is possible to make your own kit at home if you only got one project and dont wont to spend that kind of money. The coverage on the welds where poor, i line bored it about 50% and then welded the deepest wormholes again and redid line boring it , and still it wasnt perfect coverage. I hoped for the worn part to be in the front end of the loader witch had so much better acces to. Never the less i dont think some missing spots affect the life span on the "fix" its just a bit annoying when you put in the time and work to fix stuff.

@@Foffe2000 Was the weld soft enough to cut easily, and what cutting tool material did you use? It looks like a quality repair. I love the use of the halogen lamp and the CO2 fire extinguisher - genius!

@@Brad-lt6mr The weld was rather hard, but with 0,1mm cuts and carbide-inserts it is possible
