This time on the project 740 turbodiesel wagon, I put the rear suspension and brakes back together and fix even more rust in the frame rail and rocker.

Hard to find people who post quality and in depth wrenching vids on these old volvos. Great vid!

Well impressed, having a Volvo 740 estate myself needing some TLC. Your videos are very informative and entertaining, a combination very few other channels achieve. Also the potential of an accident, due to the way you work, adds some drama.Click bait not needed for your content. On a serious note, keep safe and i wish you well with your channel.

Nice work and quite entertaining! Looking forward to seeing part 3. I did almost all of this work on my 940 about two months ago. Had to remove the sills on both sides entirely and was more surprised about the rust behind it. 😮 but now it is about to last another 25 years😅

I've been watching your videos for a while... I am from Sweden and you could probably buy every single piece you mention online here at least... Keep on fighting, you are just proving that you dont need online stuff.

Video of this FrankenRear was both entertaining & informative. Maybe a little more montages & pyrotechnics. maybe less feet & lube. Bravo

@@bakedbeansgarage116 yeah, you did a great job on the old brick. If it weren't for you it would of wounded up in a junkyard, salt honestly needs to be replaced by something in the futures that will keep the roads safe while also not harming the cars metalwork.

The exact reason I always keep a spool of flux core in my cabinet. Good enough to finish a job, bad enough to not keep it in there

Thanks bud! Thanks for the kind words! In all reality, I have an issue that makes me sweat way too goddamn much. Going barefoot helps when it's warm, but my caveman ass will honestly wear shoes in the winter.

The brake pins should be hammered in from ourside in not inside out but it makes no different in the long run 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

They must have changed it at some point during the production run. I did notice that the original calipers had them inserted from the outside. Either that or it's just a difference from remanufacturing. Either way, it works!

Hello! I have a question. Could you please clarify what spring you used on the rear arm? I found springs from a Jeep Grand Cherokee, they have 9 turns and are 16 inches high. In your video I counted 12 turns. what is their height? Thank you in advance.

I'll keep an eye out, but 700 series cars seldom show up in salvage yards here. You could probably get the same result with a steel plate and a spacer to retain the upper insulator.
