For example that garbage bin or the way you unlock the car and start driving or leave the car was awesome. Because the tech specs say nothing about how the car handles or is used on a daily basis.

Just bought mine! 0-60 is actually closer to 4.2 seconds! This thing is a beast! Loving the seats and materials they used.

Great EV review! Love your videos. Just wanted to point out a bit of EV etiquette that I just learned about. The C40 Recharge (and most EVs on the market) can’t charge over 150kw, so it makes no difference whether you use the 350kw charger or the 150kw charger, your charging speed will be the same. However, some cars, like the Taycan and IONIQ 5 can charge at speeds over 150kw. So, unless it’s the only charger available, you should leave the 350kw chargers open for those who can utilize them.

Loved your honest content. I test drove it today, and damn it feels solid at, the grip, the gravity to road, fast and the comfort ofcourse. What I didn't like is the center screen size, no sunroof, no set back seat for the driver but other than this, this car is a gem.

This is a great little car! These HP numbers used to be sports car goals…crazy how much power it has despite being the smaller cheaper version

When you locked the car door both our dogs went ballistic because they thought I was coming home. Guess you can tell what cars we have!

My dad got one and was able to drive it (first EV for me) and it was an incredible drive. In 15 years i’ve never driven a car and immediately wanted one. Granted it was my first time with regenerative breaking and EV power… but regardless the car itself is incredibly smooth and fun to drive.

Have had this model for about a month. no issues so far and love the car. Actually had a Porsche Tycan 4S on lease until a few months ago. I really cant remember feeling any worse for a car that is 1/2 the price of the Porsche except the label Porsche. I love the one pedal driving, the extend range is very nice, and a feature you did not mention is outstanding 4wheel driving. Saw a video on this and it works great. So so far would give it a 4plus. would like a longer range but the size and handling is great for me so even if the C60 has more range, I like the looks and size of the C40

Viewers might be interested in knowing that there are three "Usage" modes (which are activated automatically). In the "Comfort" mode, when someone sits in the driver's seat ** *or* ** when the center display is used or started via the media button in the tunnel console (possibly when the driver's seat is unoccupied): - The center display can be used. - The infotainment system starts automatically (same as while driving). - The climate system starts automatically (same as while driving). - The power seats can be adjusted. - Power windows, Bluetooth, navigation, phone and windshield wipers can be used. - The 12-volt electrical socket in the cargo compartment can be used. - USB ports can be used. Also, Apple Car Play became available for the both the C40 and XC40 Recharge in July 2022 with the V2.2 (over-the-air) software update.

I love this car but ended up ordering the XC40 Recharge instead since it qualified for provincial rebates which the C40 does not. I also like the little bit of extra head room in the XC 40 and a bit higher but of all the EV that I reviewed and drove which included the Mustang Mach E and the Ioniq 5.... I chose the Volvo.

The 360 camera is one of the things I like about my Bolt.

We got this same car in blue as well. Its working great for us and it does get a lot of attention! We were gonna get the xc40 recharge in Thunder Gray, but the order got cancelled so the dealership sold us their C40 demo car :)

Working as a Volvo salesman in Michigan I can tell you we can’t keep cheese things in stock, I have customers booked out to 2023. Same thing with the Xc40 recharge. I personally would get the Xc90 full electric when it comes out in 2024 but I can honestly say that I love the direction Volvo is going and I love selling them because I believe in the product. If you need a New Volvo Come to suburban Volvo cars and ask for Alex☺️

Awesome review of the C40! 🍻 I love my Fjord Blue C40 Recharge. The boy is a beast of a power, slick, simply designed, sexy as it’s curves and power. It has gotten so many compliments from strangers (at Costco), family, friends especially on the color. The mountain ranges inscribed on the dash and windows make it a absolute delight “gives me a lounge kind of relaxing environment”. The google built in architecture is flawless, and Perhaps the most iconic feature of the new 2022 Volvo C40 is its stylish exterior. The sloping roofline, modern interior, and ecstatic demeanor make it a formidable contender in the compact SUV segment. I cannot wait for the Apple Car Play updates to be released. I am iPhone geek but have been an Android guy too! There is just enough space for grocery bags stashed from Trader Joe’s, Costco or whatever! I have had buddies driving Teslas Model Y, X…who are impressed with its sexiness and versatility. I still cannot spot a C40 in and around 6 states where I live. It’s a very special and unique product that I believe Volvo head honchos did a solid work with. The sustainability processes and materials used in the development process makes me as an Owner feel like a sustainable maven. So long to the gasoline stupidity! 🙌🙂.

This is the only electric car I would buy right now... finances allowing of course. All I ask for is good build quality, batteries that will last, and an infotainment system that is intuitive and easy to use. Volvo/Polestar have nailed it, honestly! Just a really well thought out car, everything you need nothing you don't. Great review!

That's the same charger I stopped at on my 1000km road trip! Worked great but didn't have enough time to hit up East Side Mario's on my stop since my Ioniq 5 charges too fast (our stop was only 14 mins).

You guys need to review the new 2023 v60 T8 Polestar engineered. Getting a more powerful battery and rear motor, but rumor has it that it will lose quite a few little things like paddle shifters, lots of physical buttons being replaced with options inside the infotainment system (including the drive mode selector), and the there’s no longer any visible exhaust tips.

Volvo did a very good job with this car. Love the Google integration. Like every other EV, they will sell as many as they produce.

Turn those 20 inch rims to 18 inch and you’ll find more range in the vehicle.
