When the Globetrotter cab was launched, Volvo expected to sell a few hundred cabs a year. But this niche product quickly became a success. This year, 30 years after it was launched, nine out of ten new Volvo FH trucks have a Globetrotter cab. Now, just like at the outset, the Globetrotters key concepts are driver environment and world class cab comfort.

Bought one of these, almost new, way back in the early eighties and fitted it properly with biggest Webasto and a sit-down shower / loo behind the passenger seat which slid forward. Plenty of room. It was the most comfortable truck, and the best smelling, I ever used. In those days one could run about town in the tractor on evenings off. What fun we had in Paris, Firenze, Rome, Koln and Marseille. Life was so civilised then.

In Australia, this cab is available in 3 variants: Globetrotter, Globetrotter XL and Globetrotter XXL - the XXL Globetrotter cab is only available in Australia and Norway!

here in New Zealand our highways were once jam packed with American trucks. but now Volvo dominates the NZ Transport Industry. i would love to be the first in my country to own a Volvo 750hp!

best Volvo ever built, I drive FH13 and like it , but if F10/12 range would still be available as new trucks I would buy it:-)even the cab was better for inside space, not mentioning outside mirrors which are dangerous in FH because of blindspots they create...

Some of driver are tall,so globetrotter needed as it is tall and make the driver easy to move.

Its a shame down here in BRASIL we pay $10,000,00 US DOLLARS more for the globetrotter, everiting is extra , SCANIA do the same did a mention a new truck over here cost a $300.000,00 us dollars .

Ben 83 yilindan beri volvo kullanirim bu modelinide kullandim o yillarda turkiyede 15 firma vardi ve tesvik belgesi ile alinabiliyor turkiyeye getiriliyordu zengin firmalar alabiliyordu volvonun disriburoru ulusoy du.
