Before I even watched this episode, in my campaign (where I played a druid) i risked it and dropped a heroes feast before our upcoming battle. My DM burst out laughing later when he realized his whole storyline circled around a green dragon in disguise, and his attacks were practically worthless at that point.

Going back to the introduction of Larkin and watching Liam the entire time knowing how clueless he is until he finds out who it ACTUALLY is, is fucking hilarious.

It's awesome to see how much fun Matt is obviously having when he gets to play out the fight between Vorugal and Yenk. It's awesome to see someone getting to enjoy doing what they love.

Liam pretending to know what's going on the entire time with Larkin is so sad and so hilarious He says SO MANY THINGS that seem like he's just TOTALLY in the know, it's uncanny

My favorite thing about these is how Matt acts like its not a big deal to just carve glacial cliffs out of a huge piece of styrofoam and just set up a whole huge map and make itover the weekend. ❤

It's actually really fitting that Percy's not doing so well in this fight. Just a couple days prior, he was brutally killed twice, remained dead for an entire day while his soul was bound and hungrily fed upon by a bird demon, and then resurrected in a fairly difficult and complicated ritual. He is not at his best, and realistically he should be in bed resting and regaining his strength, not fighting ancient dragons and fiends.

This is the first time I'd ever seen anyone play DnD. I don't know how I found this show, random youtube watching late one night...but this was it. I was hooked on this entire episode and now, years later I am running my own games and DnD is a huge part of my life. I come back to watch this episode every few years.

God Scanlan it terrifyingly powerful. I think at times the only thing keeping him from becoming the greatest villain Exandria has ever known are his friends. He has no qualms about lying, stealing, killing, or manipulating people; he can literally charm, deceive, or intimidate his way out if any encounter if he so chooses; and the spells he has at his disposal are INSANE

Then Ashley showed up like 20 mins later so obviously he was letting her inside and it suddenly all made sense! So happy she was here for this session!

Sam not getting it with Larkin made me feel so much better, because I only got it like 5 seconds after he did. Then Liam getting it 10 minutes later killed me. Especially with the way that Laura's face instantly dropped when she realized he didn't get it and Taliesin's "oh my god. We're all going to die." Clearly, it happens to the best of em.

I love how Laura occasionally speaks as Jester in Campaign 1 after she played her in the one shot.

I really like Raishan. If this were a Bioware game I'd take the option where you let her escape after killing Thordak and get a -100 relation penalty with Keyleth.

I think...even as an ancient dragon...I'd probably accept that I'm on the wrong side of a fight once got sucker punched by a god.

I finally figured out why I like campaign 2 more than 1 (though I still like this one a lot). By campaign 2, they seem to be more comfortable with game rules and more respectful of each other. For example, It sucks that Travis keeps getting sidelined because of what his devotion to his character and not wanting to meta game since it inevitably ends up that they ignore him. Keyleth and Marisha do not deserve the hate she gets but I can understand why with the tendency to act quickly without conferring with the fellow players. That being said, she’s hardly the only one doing it. I’m finding that Vax is NOTORIOUS for doing the same and even Vex to some extent. I love them all, but I think campaign one made them all go through a learning curve of how to be better friends, players, and even colleagues. It’s awesome to see how they’ve all grown and how much more fun the show has become because of it.
