Can someone explain to me why bat rider has one of the lowest win rates in pubs I've ever seen right now but is still picked in pro games? I understand pubs and pro matches are incredibly different but what exactly about bat rider makes him perform so drastically different in pubs vs pros?

batrider is just the best initiator for most fights. He can pull a core like 2000 units, out of support range. Lasso also scales really well into lategame. Pro teams can use the threat of pickoffs into buyback to secure huge map control. Plus all the small stuff: he can do stacks, kill supports, flying vision, etc

He requires a lot of teamwork with lasso. Think of him a lot like wisp, it just performs way better with coordination.

Cause Bat player will afk farm for blink as a sup . Meanwhile enemy mid with a actual p4 will run the map down . And they prob lose control of the map . Then after Bats has blink . High chance he dont bring smk and walk into vision . And f the team even more . Then they will have some friendly talk about eachother mama . --- Joke aside , Bat sup just not get along well with midlaner in pub . If it a farming mid , now you have a guy farm with you too . Even better if you get gank and he cant help . If it a fighting mid , oh now you missing a guy to fight with . So then you have a sad midlaner . And prob a sad midgame for everyone too .

what a stupid throw with the TP play in the end after making holding ur base for so long and winning so many fights for nothing to be fair, after 1.5h i'd be like "fuck it", too, but not in a competitive game where i just spend 30min holding my base and managing to overcome what seemed like a lost game

The fights are super stressfull man. Every fight one fuc up cost VP the game, while secret can somewhat chill. They mustve been super tired and just gg out in style
