@@osvaldosanchez7631 Hard to tell as this was many years ago 😃 However alot of the parts were passed down from my jetta when I did upgrades to that car,like turbo etc..So really hard to pin point a cost figure 🤷‍♂️

@@WhaDatProduction The vr6 engine without forged shaft, pistons and cranks can withstand 500 hp. In contrast, the automatic transmission up to 750 nm. Have you thought about measuring on the dynamometer?

Piotr Pal I only mess with the vr6 engines,its just for fun so try to keep it simple

Project Build mk5 I didnt inspect the area yet so not sure how the space is but never dynoed the vr6 touareg but i dont think its making much as i was moderate with the boost

I didn’t even notice any difference as usually once I decide to modify/turbo charge a vehicle,fuel economy is not on the top of my list 😁

@@WhaDatProduction Did you ask United Motorsport? They seem to be the go-to tuner for R32 turbo guys. This build always intrigues me - sometimes I forget about it and then happen across it again and get really excited. I had a V8 Touareg and a turbo R32 at the same time, so it checks a lot of boxes for me. I was slowly turning my Touareg into an overland/offroad rig, but I ended up selling it, and sold my R32, as well. My plan has long been to get a V6 TDI Touareg to build into a really nice overland rig. However, always present in my mind is a clapped out VR6 Touareg for a thousand bucks, a china turbo, and cut the hell out of it to fit some 35s. Anyway, I'm rambling. I would imagine United Motorsport might be able to provide a file since they have, essentially, off the shelf 550cc turbo files for the 24v 3.2 VR6. Otherwise, I'd guess maybe standalone would be the way to go with Haltech or Megasquirt or something.

Edwin Ramos wanted to maintain the full function of the the ecm in this build without having to add a piggyback or standalone,at the time i just couldn’t find anyone to tune it

@@WhaDatProduction that's the issue i have been having, I haven't been able to find tune or a tuner that does forced induction on these things. did you end up selling he build? and do you know if they were able to get it tuned?

Edwin Ramos I had sold it but I found someone after the fact who could’ve tuned it...I keep contact with him though as he’s the one who ended up tuning/flashing my vrt wagon

Give yourself a little credit. A T-reg only outweighs an R32 by about 7-800lbs.
