Change the tyres to the correct fitment for the car (235/35r19) will notice a big difference in clearance and 20s fit fine with the correct tyre size.

Interesting! Im about to put coilovers in my VY so cheers for the vid. Also Ive got 19s and Im running 245/35 19 with no clearance issues. The 40s are a VE fitment I believe. And as for camber adjustment, I dont know if itll work with the aftermarket coilover, but Holdens do have a camber adjustment. Its that 8mm bolt on the strut just behind the rotor. Loosen the main strut bolts then adjust the 8mm bolt

No its because your running 19 by 40 series tryes. I run 20 ×30 inch no problem. 😂

I want to put 245/45s on the 18s on front of my VZ ute as it's not a track/project car, but just my daily driver and parts hauler for my other project cars. I am after a smoother ride by going a higher profile tyre on my 18s. I reckon as you said, I'll go with XYZs on the front only.

Ok so with commodores pre VE should be a 245/35/19, if you got a 235/35/19 you will find it is going to be under load for the car, the is either a vy or vz maloo that is placard for 235/35/19 at 91 load where as most commodores are either 92 or 93 minimum load, the tyres he has on this car is VE size wheel as that is what the wheel is or off also so it's the wrong size for a start, if you are goin with 20s you will require a 245/30/20, you can go any size tyre that you want it is upto you aslong u can get it to fit I'm sure passenger cars are 25mil smaller then factory and 15mil bigger aslong as they are with in the load rating of manufacturers specs, If you want the 40/19s on the front then it will hit the strut under the spring so you will need the coilovers to make it fit
