worked perfect. but be advised, if you replace the high pressure fuel pump, GET IT FROM THE DEALER! I didn't, 3 months later I'm doing it again because the after market pump I put in failed. so if you replace it, get it from the dealer. this is the best chain replacement guild out there. worked first time. well....2 times and an extra 800 bucks

I had an BF MK2 and a FG MK2. the BF are absolute crap, rust and waterleaks galore. The FG Mk2, no rust, no water leaks, Much better built. I think the FG Mk2 were better rust proofed then the Series 1 FG's and the tin can b series.

Been doing it like this for years, it can't go out of alignment if you never turn the motor over halfway through. Some people still don't get it though

Regarding the transmission, this is not good advice. If they have a full service history, then there is no issue with buying it. I have a ZF 6 Speed that has over 470k kilometers on it. It has been serviced every 40 thousand kilometers and it drives like a dream. I know this is true because the gentleman I purchased the car from gave me the folder containing every single receipt he ever spent on the car.

Careful here! Left and right on a north south engine is viewed from the rear normally. So based on the picture and the discussion of fitment of the cam retainer tools he mentions this one to the right, his right on the picture is actually the left bank of the engine. This may cause confusion with some maintenance documents. The diagram text is technically correct. I personally would never do the "two step" procedure.

Colour of oil doesn't always tell condition of engine. Cars that run on LPG the oil will be cleaner compared to cars that run on petrol. But after all the other checks that should give you a pretty good idea of the condition of the car.

After watchin this went out had good look at bf wagon brought. Looks good couple little dings. Motor pulls well n no trans noise seems bad. Headliner n brakes are fukd. But think ok. Never know till mechanic checks it properly. But happy so far. Its a good vid tho. Ive made all those mistakes before.
