This is one of the best episodes of TOS, and it’s so nice to have Walter on board in the podcast. As a fan from the early 70’s, it’s also nice to hear people who are fairly new to Trek treat this episode with seriousness and depth. So many people only make jokes and off color remarks about it. Regarding the fight scene, a lot of it actually does involve stunt doubles for both Leonard and Bill.

Gerald Fried's incredible musical score adds so much to the feel of the episode. Glad you mention him.

Walter is so on-point. The Spock of The Cage wasn't Spock yet. I've always felt that Majel was playing the Spock character in that. I saw Nimoy on Perry Mason this week, and it was remarkable seeing him as a character with NO TRACE of Spock. A tribute to his extraordinary talent.

I am always impressed by the memory that some actors have, like Koenig here, pulling out details that happened over 50 years ago, having various names and dates immediately at hand. I am way younger and don't memorize half as much about my own life.

I love the dialogue in this episode. "Always and never parted. Always and never touching." "This is the Vulcan heart, this the Vulcan soul." Brilliant! I😅 wondered if the actress who played T'pau was using her own accent. Thanks for the review. 🖖

I saw both stunt doubles many times. There were a couple times I couldn't tell though. The big flip looked like Nimoy.

I've just stumbled on this channel and I'm enjoying every second. Kudos to the entire team for putting it together (subbed). BTW: Apologies for my poor hearing. I've only ever seen Cirroc's name in screen credits, and never pronounced out loud. So, for a few minutes I thought people were referring to "Surak!" That's a conclusion only a Star Trek fan could jump to. Thanks guys. Cheers

Enterprise did an episode with a young T'Pau in season 4-but boy they missed the mark by not having that actress keep the continuity of the accent of the older actress as T'Pau in Amok Time.

De Kelley sometimes gets overlooked because McCoy isn't as "showy" a character. But watch him. Just watch him, and you'll see a consumate actor at work. Never a false moment.

Also recognition for the great Matt Jeffries, who had to make a PLANET with so little money. Furthermore, a planet that "fit" with what we knew about Vulcan. A genius.

The captioning is notorious for mangling names, so I checked to see how it would deal with *Cirroc.* As expected, it invented new words starting with "S" ... until 1:51 "... sarak Lofton..." It is an honor, Ambassador!

Wait wait. Alfred Bester is both a classic science fiction author and a Psi Cop. Does that mean Theodore Sturgeon, who wrote "Amok Time", is also a Psi Cop?
