The Freedom Front Plus has asked the Independent Electoral Commission to decline new political Economic Freedom Fighters' application for registration.
The Freedom Front Plus is arguing the new party's policies - including nationalisation of land, mines and banks - without compensation are racist and unconstitutional

When legislations are made in any country they turn to be observed by all it will be nice if the advancement of all south africans is not impeded by any law on any way. I should think we all want to own the land and its resources black and white and we all want to equally participate in growing the economy of this country this opportunities should be equally available to all south africans. Period.

By the same logic the word 'front' in Freedom Front Plus pertains to the conflict zone between two armies in war. Perhaps Mr. Groenewald's party should not be registered for the 2014 election?

Stealing of land is confused with EARNING LAND DUE TO HARD WORK!!! 2 very different realities. Bantua (Koi koi, Koisan) & Bantu (Xosa, Zulu, ect) are related by blood and have THOUSANDS OF YEARS HISTORY! Before even white race come to existence.... So you can't even separate or talk about Bantu et Bantua relationship that you don;t know!

John Riggs - Unfortunately the universe will always balance itself out. Every wrong will have a right, it's the same with EFF. If there's no EFF today, there will be another party tomorrow with the same manifesto, if not more aggressive, to aid the the change that is required for the universe to balance itself out. In short, change is coming and it cannot be stopped, it can only be delayed.

Truly convincing argument on behalf of the EFF representative, and shrewd counter argument on behalf of Groenewald on "racist party" allegations. However, I hold the view that the only way in which South Africa can obtain true equality and peaceful coexistence is through respectful treatment of one another, however in this instance, we witnessed impatience on both sides.

Pieter is talking about the rules of and registering a political party in acceptance of the parliament law where as Andie is talking about with same hateful speech about the past. Can we stay on subject? Electoral commission rules and laws!!! When you accepted then present your case !! What an idiot.

+Barrios Groupie it better to live like the Zimbabweans than having a white boy at his first year of University he is driving a car because of the legacy of Apartheid where his parents benefited from, but I as a black child it very difficult to even get a space at University, if it happens that i get a space and i graduate the white person is about 10 times likely to have gotten a job, when we go to work place a white graduate will earn more then i do. we cant stand for that system better to be poor than being oppressed.

Phumulani Hlongwane Nelson Mandela was an excellent leader who was on the side of racial equality, which is the policy of the ANC today, supposedly. My understanding of SA now is that there is a Black affirmative action policy in place where you're given preference over an identically qualified White person to make the numbers more representative of Blacks being a majority. You're right when you say there's more Whites in jobs and at university as a result of the Apartheid legacy, but the ANC government, dominated by the Black majority, is handling this fairly, and in your favour.
