VW Bluetooth Audio How to play music from your iPhone on your VW T5 via Bluetooth.

In this video I will show you the option of Bluetooth Audio on your VW which may work (VW BT-Audio), not all stereo models support this function. If that does not work then I will show you how to use a wireless Bluetooth device to connect your iPhone or iPad to your VW Stereo so you can stream Bluetooth music to your VW stereo. Streaming Bluetooth Audio on the VW is a great way to listen to your music if the VW CD Player is broken. If you have a modern VW you may be lucky enough to have BT-Audio or Apple Carplay but on older stereos you can use this solution.

If you have access to vcds you can adapt the coding for the radio and Bluetooth to allow this headunit to play music from your phone directly to the headunit, it does require you to press play first then select media>bt as this hu wasn’t designed for it but it can work

Do all RCD 310’s have Bluetooth?

I don’t think they do, some may not have it.

Generalizing, they all have the potential for Bluetooth, but only some of them come installed with a Bluetooth receiver. There are other videos showing Bluetooth receivers located beneath the passenger seat. In my case, the RCD310 did not have a BT receiver, so I had to install an aftermarket one. If you have an AUX plug like in this video, then it's very easy to replace with a unit like the Nachruesten Universal Streaming Box 1701. Try looking that up!

@@LurgsHowToGuides any idea how I can find out, any leads? I’d really like to use the Bluetooth for playing music. It’s strange because the whole car is in perfect condos and low miles. I was going to ask dealer but thought too old for them to know. Any help appreciated.

My Headset in my VWT5 has Bluetooth but it only allows a Phone to be linked to it for phone calls, it won't allow you to play music via Bluetooth! Very odd.
