Stock all day long. VW actually has some of the most unique wheel/rims out there, they are already chrome, they dress up and down so nicely. You will look like everyone else with the Porsche wheels, Stock never goes out of style.

Wide 5 Porsche alloys, highly polished and accented with the body color...love the look and that was the gooch in Cali during the 80's.

I like the stock wheels you have there, that would be my first choice. Or, another style that shows off the classic “wide 5” bolt pattern, maybe the GT-5 for the bling.

Stock Rocks! On the flip, they are your shoes, your style, your signature, and your unique fingerprint. Since the bus is a major project modification, go with what you feel. I love Dr. Porsche's vision and design with almost everything he created. I personally would stay with the Porsche Boxster 17" rims since you already installed the 944 5 x 130 pattern. These are your better running shoes for your application; better handling, stability, and better ride. Unless you plan to cruise with 6 passengers most of the time, then keep stock shoes @ 185/65/15 to cushion over 1200 lbs of gents. Having integrated Japanese, Mexican, Chinese parts with German engineer, the rim decision is part of your tailoring. Best wishes!

Thanks, going to try the stock setup for a while, but keep the Porsche one's on the shelf, just in case!

Where do I buy the wide bolt pattern adapters? I have a1971 disc brake conversion and want to go back to the original stock rim.

Do you think 215/75r15 tires on a 74 bus would fit ? I’m worried about rubbing when suspension is compressed or articulated wondering if you’ve gone down that route
