VW Caddy people-mover 2022 review: The Volkswagen seven-seater alternative to an SUV!

Everyone thinks they need a seven-seat SUV. But what if you could have a seven-seater that wasn't an SUV at all? And it wasn't a big van like the Kia Carnival, either?
Meet the Volkswagen Caddy Maxi people mover - it's a van with seven seats and the beating heart of a VW Golf. It's built off the same platform as the Mk 8 Golf, and has lots of Golf-ness to the way it drives.
Richard Berry spent a week with the VW Caddy people mover to see how it stacks up as a family car. Unlike a few other big name seven-seater SUVs, like the Kia Sorento, Toyota Kluger and others - there are airbags that cover all three rows. And you can even remove the back seats if you want to use it like a Caddy Cargo van!
So, does it make sense? Are the dual sliding side doors as good as you'd think? And would you pay almost $50K for a car that doesn't have LED headlights?

Volkswagen's equivalent to my favourite Leisure Activity Vehicle, you know the Peugeot Rifter is spacious and practical.

Use the accelerator to feather the stop start in and off.

i don't like diesels too especially the current ones too many problems with egr and dpfs problems

The only think most car reviewers make a mistake on is not showing the cars keys features what you can do with the car keys.

Over priced for a van based platform especially for the UK market.. On the mk5 Vw have cut corners on the design and features from the mk4..

Love your method of measuring, very funny but sorry the inside is kinda ugly and no knobs, would hate that - love you, not so much the car - would rather a nice minivan with tons of space and comfort - $48 grand, no way, too much - colour kind of funky but might get tired of it - keep up the great videos - Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

The 48k is in Australian dollars. It would amount to $35475.60 US and $44688.48 CAD. Still pretty expensive for what it offers.

bartonarcade 24 seconds ago Caddy van 5 2022 10,000 miles auto pro been back 3 times to main dealer problems with digital instrument cluster monitor . Hear a clicking sound may be 6/8 times over a week then says SOS EMERGENCY CONTACT DEALER . Taken in to dealer (reset) so they say not got a direct answer to the problem and why this happens . Happened again this week this time says loading setting's been on this for the past 4 days ROUND AND ROUND . Had no radio no aircon and also a new light central warning amber colour . For a new vehicle more problems them i have ever had going back again on 16/1/23 . Driven caddy's for over 20 years ANY ANSWERS OR JUST A BAD BUY

Com on 48.000 dollars is to much new cars should 20.000 dollars and less as soon as you take it off show room floor see how much you loose you bunch ducks imagine how much dealers get for you mungrue .
