Glad you picked that up. cant wait to see you start welding it back together. underneath those rockers. there will be some rust under that structure. If it is really bad you can sand blast the rust that is there and put a piece of square tubing in for support without removing all the rusted pitted metal. Then put paint it all and put the sheet metal over it. would be fine for years. just make sure to give it a break in the winter.

You have the sport wheels use them, You get board trade them, Cipi1 has the dash top I think it’s a little over 200 hundred. I’m glad you have it, there getting harder to find.

You NEED a dropped hitch. I have an extra one. Next time I am out your way remind me and I will bring it. Also, if you recover the front of the dash, a video on that would be awesome. I hate doing those, particularly around the glove box. On your sport wheels, check the width. There are 2 different ones.

Hey Slade. I'm glad you bought this car. I have a 68 body off ghia project that I been working on for two years so far. I found a set of original sprint star wheels, they look really good on it. Is the wiring harness the same for a bug of the same year?
