I've 19 GTI S DSG with Performance Package and APR STG2. Commonly, I used to put it in Manual mode, turn ESC and traction fully off permanently (coding by obd11), and do casually launch control. After pulling brake out, Hold the parking brake up to keep the car steady. As a result, I've got a big cloud with rubber burned smell. 😃

I’m pretty sure this is just COBB’s fuel cut launch control. I got this with my EQT stage 1, never did a burn out with it, but it seems to be the same process of getting it started

It is, the only difference is this holds rpms at 5k until you release the set button

This actually came stock for my car. For some reason not all cars came with it. My car is a 2017 I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it.

This is just to avoid redlining or upshifting. It will hold at 5k rpm with will in turn be better on the engine. Don't get me wrong LC on setting 6 has you launch at 4,900 rpm which definitely gets the job done. It just may redline or upshift. This is specific to holding at 5k rpm while WOT.

I’m not 100% sure but I believe it would since it is done through the Cobb AP and comes enabled with the ECU tunes. I would love to hear if it does if you happen to try it out please let me know if it is possible with the manual!

Check my video for a burnout on a manual. Easy as just turning off ESC with OBDEleven and dropping the clutch with the e-brake up lol

@@dollaz5541 Update after further searching this does work with a manual and will allow you to hold the RPM at 5k rather than redlining or having to modulate the throttle.

this is not hidden everyone know that what everyone don't know for exemple dq250 limit torky is 400 if u go more dq250 make a stutter around 400-600nm for exemple*

$30,000 car is considered "poverty spec?" Yikes 🙄 I have an S but its a 2020 and has the Performance Pack standard. I prefer the S because to me a GTI isn't a GTI without the plaid seats haha, and from a performance perspective, its the lightest of the group. So in theory tires being equal, should be the quicker car 😎 Only thing I dislike about the S is the headlights. Would love to have the LED headlights...

I was just saying that as a joke, I also opted for the S model rather than the others though they were available at a very similar price point. Because well the S not only has plaid seats but no leaky sunroof to worry about either! All in all I love my S I just wish the 2017's and earlier came with the PP brakes/LSD

Very true! Though this will work for 6-speeds as well! It will hold at 5,500 rpms rather than having to modulate throttle.

Front drive burnouts are kind of dumb looking. The Bridgestones are cheap, either.

Agreed, but if you are at the dragstrip it can really help get those tires warm for a good launch. And I am running Continental Extreme Contact DWS06+ 265/35/18, I ditched the stock wheel and tires about a month into ownership.

USA spec GTi are trash. With the rest of the world, electronic handbrake are just standard. Among other things like leather seats

I personally prefer a manual handbrake and I specifically wanted the Clark plaid cloth seats.
