VW T5 Full Raptor in Indian blue

In this weeks video Ally from Scotland dropped off his beloved T5 for a full Raptor treatment and to have all it's wee dents and rust patches sorted out.
As we were staying with the factory Indian blue colour this was a closed door respray meaning we only do the outside.
As such we didn't need to go the full strip down on this.
I think you'll agree the finished result looks epic and the black details really finish it off nicely.

lovely work as usual, i ended up raptoring my caddy with a roller, it's ok but not as good as using a spray gun, i used green and mixing it with the raptor it came out a shade lighter which was dissapionting

Thank you 😊 never used a roller yet but I may try it one day to see what finish you can get. Spraying will always be better but I imagine if you thinned the last coat down 20 percent you may be able to flash roller it fast. I'm sure it looks good though bud. Raptor does lighten the colour a shade due to its own milky colour so make sure you use a good strong tint, cheers 👍

Hi, I've just done mine in the same colour but I'm seeing quite a bit of striping and difference in shine between panels. Does this disappear after a couple of days or is there something you do to avoid this? Really appreciate your videos

Hi mate, the striping will stay unfortunately, what you need to do is give it a few dust coats to even out the texture and get it all uniform. These are applied faster at around 70 psi assuming you're using the variable Shultz gun. Fast and light is the key 👍

Yeah it just went in but I had to take the solar and the max fan off to get it in👍

Great I’ll not fit my roof rack until you have sprayed. Just fit the max fans so they can be lifted off
