When doing a continuity test is this meter testing every wire simultaneously or is it cycling through each wire like the cheaper ones with individual leds? I want to be able to wiggle each connection around while looking for a intermediate connection issues problem

Hi rj45 test...my remote unit does not beep to say its found remote...that feature is very hand for initial identify... Thanks for video... Maybe they will be an upgrade in software ..the older9v versions do remote find which is a lifesaver when testing multiple ends :)

I have this exact tester and was hoping you could help me out. When I test one of my RJ45 runs with the terminator on the other end, it says 5/6 wires are “short.” What does it mean when there’s a short circuit? Not broken or crossed. Please help. I can’t find anything on the internet. Thank you.

Do a reset on the device see manuals for this to recalibrate

Thank you, I’ll give that a shot. But I’m thinking its more of an issue with my cat6 cable. Every other run shows a proper connection of all 8 wires. Only this run shows a shoeshoe like like from 5 to 6 and says “short”
