At this year's Game On Expo, I had another awesome opportunity to host the Sonic Voice Actor Panel! Starring: Roger Craig Smith - voice of Sonic, Colleen O'Shaughnessey - voice of Miles "Tails" Prower, Mike Pollock - Voice of Dr. Eggman/Robotnik, Dave B. Mitchell - Voice of Knuckles, and Keith Silverstein - Voice of Vector the Crocodile. We talk about what voice characters in the Sonic Universe means to them, fun Swag stories, and an audience Q & A that you won't want to miss!

I’m hoping we’ll get at least Ryan and Jason at Sonic Expo this year! I’m still sad that I ran out of time and couldn’t get an interview with Ryan like I did with the other actors last year.

Due to Roger being an OG fan, it's my responsibility to also be an OG and know that he started off voicing Sonic at Alton Towers for Sonic Spinball, MONTHS before Free Riders and Colours.

Mike Pollock’s the truest OG here taking over after Deem passed, he’s the one I’m most nostalgic for for sure lol. Absolute legend and chad lol. Also he voices Greg from ratatoing and as we all know he is objectively the best character from any piece of media ever made. Nothing beats a dead inside Mike Pollock at his lowest going “r a t a t o i n g . “ So glad he’s doing actually well now lmao he deserves it for making my childhood, Eggman Empire forever. May Eggman get his truest times to shine in the games to come

Thank you! I'm so honored that I've gotten to meet and interview several Sonic voice actors. If you haven't seen the rest of my channel, I've also interviewed most of the Sonic X cast, Kirk Thornton, and Pete Capella! Many of them have been touring conventions a lot more, so check your fav actor's social media to see if they're near you. There's also the Sonic Expo in November too... which I'll also be at!

Aww, many of the Sonic voice actors have been making more appearances at conventions since the movies so there might be one around you where one will be at. I don't know if you're near Dallas, TX, but in November there is the Sonic Expo!

I doubt the people on the panel will ever see this, but as someone that was born a month before the first Sonic game and grew up with the franchise, these VAs are my favorite incarnation of the characters :)

Fun fact Roger creek smith was Originally tried out for ether Luffy and sanji from one piece Naruto & Is the funny bruce lee character name rock Lee from Naruto series & of course the wise cracking himself sonic the hedgehog but he Did not get the other characters from different series but he When is the rolebof the main Protect. Sonic the hedgehog himself

I'm not sure when the next time I'll see him, but like most times I hear that kind of question get asked at panels to voice actors… the “why are you not recast” question. I'm fairly confident that it was not for lack of him wanting to reprise the role.

I think this is a good panel but imo there needs to be some rules about questions to prevent some stupid questions being asked during q&a that just waste everyone's time. Like that first question was so incredibly rude and completely lacking in any basic social ques. Tbf I do have this issue with TONS of panels.

Yeah, I laid ground rules but you know some fans will blurt what they want to without tact. Thankfully, the guests rightfully roasted him. It's also one reason why when I host panels, i have a few questions at the ready to start. I was considering removing the first question but I left it in at the actor's requests.

@@GtotheNextLevel that and some of the questions here are just so stupid and impossible for the va's to answer. I think another rule should be to only ask questions related to the va's work like how they conjured up a character voice, etc

I'm glad my question was a silly one, but I managed to stay professional in the process. However, when being atarstruck it's hard to not feel the need to say/blurt out certain things. Plus, the first questioner I know personally as we went to the same college. That's how he is, he's not a rude person in general he has hard time to express something while trying to be respectful.

I get that vibe from him (I’m fairly good at catching that kind of stuff) but at the same time, you really have to think of how that conveys. I don’t think anyone who wants to celebrate their passion by being told that someone else does it “better.” It’s kinda respect 101. It made for a funny one of a kind roast, so it worked out in the end, but I hope he sees this and realizes this for next time. However if this is a “that’s just the way they are” situation, then he probably won’t learn.
