I was thinking the same thing. That voice is beautiful and in a couple of years it will be more mature and more striking. Those staccato notes were done perfectly. Legato was fabulous. Technically flawless, but the emotions (mostly hate) didn't come through.

I'm just glad she is sticking with the original score, unlike the other sopranos who like to do their own rendition of the Aria and not sticking with the original

I listened Diana Damrau’s performance at the Royal Opera after this and think that this version might actually equal or even outdo Diana’s if the quality of recording was better. Acting was not quite as good but that might be due to the direction as well. The upper register staccatos are very strong and impressive❤ Brava!

Diana Damrau is histrionic but his voice is wider and dark. This new girl has a lighter voice that suits better for the Queen of the Night.

And to my surprise one can understand almost every word. Most versions don't have that, so that is a Plus in my books. And as far as I can tell she hit every note and did an outstanding performance, but she lacks a bit emotion, especially the hate, but it'll come in time.

Beautiful job! You should be so proud! Thank you for posting. The haters in the comments clearly have no idea how much work goes into practicing and performing this very significant piece of vocal literature. I'm not a vocalist, but I know this piece is an important milestone for a soprano. Would they say the same thing about a young pianist performing Rachmaninov 3? Or a young violinist playing the Tchaikovsky? Eff those people, you did an incredible job!
