I did not understand a word, but the technique and understanding of the metal and wood was excellent. Thanks for a look at a different way from what I'm accustomed to. Excellent!

I jumped when the blade slipped out of the block. I am glad you didn't appear to cut yourself. This is awesome, but grinding that blade looked scary. I thought you were going to make a totally new plane, but the result is very nice. Thanks for an extremely informative video.

I am enjoying your videos very much! I only know a few words of Japanese, but I have been woodworking for 50 years and there is not much difference between East and West. We'll I think Japanese joinery is superior to the West by far. Thank you .
Muito bom da para fazer vários tipos de ornamentos com esse metodo

Thank you for your comment. Since I don't have any space to put a forge, it will be difficult to make one for a while. However, I've been wanting a forge for a long time and I plan to make one someday.

Is it possible to release these videos but with English CC? Very interested in your learnings and study!
@make-miki Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment It's hard to put English subtitles on now. If I can find someone who can do subtitles in English, I'll consider adding CC.

Kon'nichiwa, could you modify one of them to do a dovetail type lap joint I know you use a router but i hate using machines to do wood work
@make-miki Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment! I'm also not a fan of power tools and would love to be able to do as much work as possible with hand tools. But I don't know how to do dovetails with a plane. I'd like to do it if I come up with a way to do it.

@@make-miki hmm good point, there’s probably one way of doing it, but it would require 2 planes or blades to fit one plane shape half as left and shape half as right side of a plane. I would try it but struggling to master tuning up my Kanna. I’m from the U.K. so it’s a bit awkward only got KZfaq to rely on.

It's certainly easy to translate one sentence with google translate. However, it is more work than you might imagine to write out the content that I say a lot in the video one by one in Japanese, translate it into English, and paste it at the appropriate timing in the video. Besides my main job, I am doing the production, shooting and editing of the videos for this channel by myself. If I have to translate a lot of the videos on this channel, I won't have time to make my next video. Therefore, it is difficult to translate the videos on this channel into English. very sorry.
