Im a Christian that is in the Southern Baptist denomination, but everytime I hear Pastor Bob I feel pulled towards Dutch Reformed😂 but in all honesty what a great privilege to hear this man of God🙏

Wow great sermon! Such a fine line we as Christians must walk, between submission and obedience to our little g-governments, but not to worship and idolatry with them. The governments of today with their secular scientists remind me of Pharoah with his sorcerers in Moses' day. How much we look to them, for peace and safety, rather than to our LORD. Such harlots we have become. 😔 Oh Father, please forgive us. 💔

Godfrey is lucky that I have been listening to him long enough to hear him out, and patience is a good fruit to practice. With what is happening and how much we do have to protect the weak and vulnerable, especially our children, we live in a time where governments including our own have no honor to honor. If people did not understand or see before, the last 2 years and now should be a wakeup call. The only way I am surviving this corruption and evil is through the grace of God and His Word, Will and Way. Turn to God. Read the Bible daily. AND I am also immersing myself in genuine teachers and preachers like the Ligonier Ministries. Thank you for this conference.

So … most of the negative comments I’ve seen so far have one thing in common … they don’t want to obey or honor the government as we have been instructed by God. Obviously, we are given limits to such honor and obedience in Acts 5:29 (where the government orders us to disobey God, we are instructed to obey God rather than men). But today’s so-called Christians in America seem to think that anytime the government tells them to do something they don’t want to do that it’s their God-given right to disobey and dishonor that government. That’s not Christianity. That’s just Right-Wing conservative politics dressed up as Christianity. But this sermon is neither silly nor basic. It simply reminds us that we need to obey and honor our God-ordained government, unless it orders you to disobey a specific command given to us in the New Testament. But it also reminds us that we worship God, not the state. And that our ultimate obedience is never ever to the government. This sermon walks the line between right-wing hate of government and left-wing worship of state power.

Thank you Robert Geoffrey for the message you gave on governments here while God has set in place are only temporary and whether good or bad we as Christians have then job of serving under them and praying for them. At the moment I have been having great trouble finding little good and much bad in my current government in Canada and you message has given me hope for the future as I wait to be with my Lord and my God.
