过了N年来看回这个视频，惊讶的是有好多负评，说什么只会尖叫啊用力过猛啊没灵魂啊有的没的。。。我想批评者是忘了这是个现场表演，不是录音室，这种欧美化的表演能如此被一个华人歌手完美演绎是多么难得的事，我在现场的话绝对会被震慑，第一名当之无愧。

跟本我是歌手，你是第一名，第一這位老伯只懂唱山東，湖南， 外省鄉下歌，好像賣藝請D唔同樂器人上來，但跟本不是他彈，跟GEM比唱功，音樂藝能力差很遠，GEM天生就是天才，13歲已作到高水平歌，能唱，能作，能彈，能rap，全能歌手，所以紅全球有原因， 香港人之光！

Holy crap that voice control is superb, god level. I saw some comments comparing her with shila and others but man you can't deny GEM has the best control. Even famous singers can't control it so well. Simply amazing.

OK, I'm just pissed off here. All those haters that complain that she is yelling/screaming, first of all, it's called BELTING. And screaming with technique isn't bad too for your information. Screaming is a vocal technique, a style. For example Jay Hawkins, James Brown all sing with this style. So please, haters, don't put a negative connotation with screaming. It only shows the lack of knowledge you have with different types of music. As a Canadian Chinese, I think she did fantastic. What she sang was different, but in a good way. Honestly, after 我要我们在一起 this is my second favourite rendition because she sang her heart out. Those who complained about her performance, this is an American song so duh, of course it's gonna be different. Arghhh... Your lack of knowledge literally pisses me off SO much. It's like 2 in the morning, and I'm suppose to sleep but seeing people like this-I can't. I hope this somehow changes your view.

She is falling. She is shouting from her soul cause she get hurt. Don't you try to understand what she want to sing instead of comparing. She is not shouting at all. Sometimes she hits the high notes with a sharp voice sometimes she sings gently with a soft voice. This makes the audience cannot breathe and feel it was breathtaking. This truly present what "love" is. If you still focusing on the high notes at the beginning then of course you cannot get any message from this song.

我自從看了我是歌手才認識Gem真驚歎香港竟然有一位這麽了不起的歌手，但卻不能在香港樂壇紅起來反而在更大的大陸樂壇發光發亮真是替她高興，正所謂此地不留人自有留人處。大陸音樂市場的潛力不知大多少倍，這就是塞翁失馬焉知非福。 Gem的現場表演真是超精彩無論唱功及功架十足，以過去20多年內香港歌手簡直無出其右，中英文歌曲皆唱得無懈可擊。以她的年紀若非天賦加上其後天努力很難有如此好的現場表現，她每場的表演亳不怯場而且非常懂得帶起現場觀眾的情緒及共鳴，最厲害是每場拼盡全力毫不欺場實屬難得。

u guys can not compare how she sings with how alicia keys sings through this performance. Gem is singing this with an anger mood ( well, its because his boyfd just left him without even officially informing Gem...her boyfd is also a singer from taiwan, also quite famous ). Anyway, i love how GEM interprets this song.

I just keep on falling in love with GEM, there’s never any falling out of love with you. Such a goddess, the most amazing voice of any singer ever to Grace this earth. Nobody compares to her, no one can come close to her vocals, she brings such emotion to her songs, truly amazing.

The tricky part of this show is voting. It's more like a live performance competition than a professional singing competition. The ranking only shows that if you attend a small concert how excited you will become. GEM simply played this trick and got everybody shocked. Once the audience got shocked, they would then remember to vote. GEM is well qualified for this show since her name stands for Get Everybody Moving. She is a very smart live performer.

GEM recovered pretty quick from her major setback. very interesting. GEM can adapt and change. unlike some people like phil.... i don't think she alone planned it all out. i am sure there are people helping her...the only two reasons why she messed up big in round 7 and 8 were: one she cried, two she tried to dance....

It's amazing how she can manage to sing different types of songs.

Shila's voice is 10/10, Gem is 9/10. The voice is a gift which is born with. Other skills are acquired with hardship training , such as piano. Gem has more musical too than Shila. It looks like it will be a fair competition in the final. I think the china audience like high a tine. That's her strategy to have such strong song style.

Her performance always gave me a "WOW" impression! Excellent interpretation of Alicia Keys - Falling! 得冠军可说是实至名归.

let me tell you something, guys. I heard shila and GEM and they're both very talented and both good singers. GEM can controll her voice very well and is also technique brilliant. Shila also sings amazing, but the difference is, GEM's voice is more powerful and Shila sing with soul and can touch hearts. It's a question of taste. I personally like music with soul, but that's just an opinion. So don't hate and just enjoy the great music.
