Pretty sure this is MiniDV and not VHS in case someone is interested in replicating it. I totally agree btw. The texture of MiniDV footage is still fairly popular with skateboarding filmmakers.

3:25 This clip really encapsulates what time it was into this video. Right now these same cars go for a couple hundred thousand, or at least in the high 10,000s. But back then these cars just came out, and they were 500,000 - 2,000,000 yen, which is 5,000 - 20,000 USD. You see them with broken headlights/ tail lights, ripped off bumpers, and drifting still with sparks flying out one of the tires. Really just shows how different the times were. The same cars would be put on auctions now.. Insane.
