Definitely a dangerous pitch.Siddle doesn't have that pace which can knock down the batsman but on this pitch he looked lethal.

Pitches like this can sometimes favour the slightly slower bowlers more than the outright quicks. Those medium pace deliveries around the 125 km/h mark have a tendency to get stuck in the pitch and rear up a bit more than the 140+ km/h balls.

@@kl898687 Never happen mate, just because they make roads for test cricket doesn't alter the fact that all of our cricketers that have reached test level grew up playing on bouncy turf wickets at lower levels, they are all taught to pull and hook which is something not common on the sub continent.

Wickets with spice are never prepared for test matches. Dead, dumb roads are prepared for test matches in Australia, India and New Zealand. But this is a dangerous wicket not a spicy one. Spicy wicket is one which offers sideways deviation

Soft WA, you have a bat in your hand. Use it. Then again if Sids is getting the ball to rear up like that it is an absolute belter! Our Grand fathers played on uncovered wickets with no helmets and only a bat in their hands and courage in their hearts. I fear for todays generation of soy boys.

@@zacparker7637 I played a bit of second XI club cricket with and against a few guys that had played for NSW and hearing them talk about "fast" was an eye opener. I would have faced a few guys pushing up towards the 130 mark which was plenty quick enough to take care of me. I could bat ok but the few occasions where we did the same as you and cranked a bowling machine up to test pace, my feet felt like they were nailed to the ground. That extra 10 or 15k's an hour is huge and just leaves you in awe of the guys that can make facing it look easy.

Australian pitches are a disgrace probably the worst in the world, they simply just dont know how to prepare them anymore. Drop in pitches are the cheap kmart items of the game.
