Same here. 63. I see myself riding home from school on the bicycle with the album fantasy on my handle bars that i then just bought, saved up my pocket money for it. I still have that LP, and i still play it. And everytime i hear it and close my eyes i see that rockin school girl, tight jeans, tight shetland pullover, patchouli. Uriah Heep did to me. And i love them still ❤

Among the greatest bands of all time. Still going since 1969, albeit with only one remaining member from the original lineup. That would be Mick Box on guitar. The singer and keyboardist joined way back in 1986. They sound great. No backing tracks or fluff- just a legendary band doing it like they've always done.

Это не важно... Созданного достаточно для того, чтобы потомки наслаждались... Гиллан и сам не понимает , что он гений и ему повезло встретиться с гениями... Эту музыку будут слушать наши внуки и правнуки. Не станет Гиллана, не станет легендарной группы, уйдут в прошлое музыканты с большой буквы, но останется наследие и желание дерзать и творить... И Гиллан говорит просто: Я еще жив... Но если я завтра вдруг загнусь, не нужно на моей могиле устраивать шабаш... Просто создайте что-нибудь хотя бы похожее.

1980, Conquest Tour, I was 14 years old and saw my first live concert with Uriah Heep. I still have it in me and many of the songs give me goosebumps. It was nice to see you here in Wacken again. Mick Box has been playing the Amp1 since fall 2023, I am very happy that Mick Box has found his way into the Bluguitar family. I wish you many more great concerts and all the best. It was through you that I found my way into rock music, thank you for that!

I'll never forget the first time I heard Magician's Birthday. Blew my mind. I had just started playing guitar. I saw them in Columbia SC just after Wonderland was released. I believe Gary Thain was on bass at the time. That line up was really good. I still have 4 of their LPs on original vinyl. Demons and Wizards, M.B'day., "Live" and Wonderland. The 70s was such a great time for music.

UH are a shadow of what they were. Byron, Hensley and Kerslake were their heart, soul, brains and backbone. Now there is only Box trying to desperately keep it together, a band long past it's prime and time. Listening to this i weep for all the departed founding members of UH whose songs brought me many hours of wonder and great pleasure in the 70 - 80s ! 😢

I worked with Ken Hensley at St. Louis Music…and played foosball against Mick Box and Lee Kerslake at the Rush Up in Chicago. My band used to play “The Park”. Not sure if Heep ever played that live.

Saw them in Wichita, KS recently with Saxon. Both bands were great but Heep is one of my all time favorites. Anyone who loves hard rock needs to listen to this band. So many great albums and I think Chaos and Colour ranks up there with the best of them. Can’t wait to see them again!
